Thompson has split his time between the AHL and NHL this season, picking up three goals and three assists (six points) in 24 games with the Blues. During his time with the Rampage, the 20-year-old has 18 points (8G / 10A) in 30 contests. He is expected to play on Sunday afternoon, but there’s no word on who he will replace.

Thompson played just 7:54 TOI in Buffalo on Saturday and will sit tonight with the Blues dressing seven defensemen and just 11 forwards. Thompson has recorded just six points (3G / 3A) in 23 games since being called up.

Thompson went to San Antonio during the Blues’ bye week. He has split the season between the NHL and AHL, picking up five points (3G / 2A) in 15 games with the Blues and 18 points (8G / 10A) in 26 games with San Antonio (AHL).

Thompson had no points, three shots, five hits and a minus-3 rating in his first four games and served as a healthy scratch on Tuesday. The 6-foot-5, 186 lbs. winger will swap spots with Sam Blais and go to the AHL where he had one goal and one assist in 16 games last season.
