Taylor Hall returned to Boston's practice in a regular practice sweater but is doubtful to return Thursday (lower body).

Hall holds a $6 Million cap hit which would put Boston over its regular season salary cap if he were to be activated off the long-term injured reserve even though he fully practised in a regular practice sweater Wednesday. The 31-year-old has 16 goals, 20 assists, 143 SOG, 24 PIMs and a +12 plus/minus through 58 games prior to the injury.

The Bruins have placed Taylor Hall (lower-body) on LTIR.

Hall had missed the Bruins' previous two games due to a lower-body injury and has been place on the long-term injured-reserve Thursday. The 31-year-old has 16 goals, 20 assists, 143 SOG, 24 PIMs and a +12 plus/minus through 58 games this season prior to his injury.

Hall (upper-body) is on track to play on Wednesday.

When hall suffered an upper-body injury on October 1st, the Bruins described him as week-to-week. Hall progressed quicker than expected and is expected to play in the Bruins' season opener in Washington. Hall skated on a line with Patrice Bergeron and Jake DeBrusk in Monday's practice.

Hall (upper-body) skated in a non-contract jersey on Thursday.

Hall is apparently ahead of schedule in his recovery from an upper-body injury. According to Bruins head coach Jim Montgomery, Hall may be back "sooner than week-to-week." The Bruins' season starts next Wednesday (Oct.12) so keep an eye on Hall's progress over the weekend.

Hall is week-to-week with an upper-body injury.

Hall left Saturday's preseason game with an upper-body injury and did not return. Head coach Jim Montgomery told reporters that Hall is "week-to-week. It’s a little bit more significant than we expected." This is a huge loss for the Bruins, who were going to rely on Hall to replace Brad Marchand, who will be out until late November.

The Bruins have signed Taylor Hall to a four-year contract extension worth $24.0 million ($6.0M AAV).

Hall had a slow start with the Sabres in 2021 but found his stride after a midseason trade to the Bruins. Once in Boston, Hall was tied for 32nd with 14 points (8G / 6A) in 16 games. Hall was the perfect fit for the Bruins' second line and signs a very reasonable $6.0M AAV deal to stay with them for the next four years.

The Bruins have acquired Taylor Hall and Curtis Lazar from the Sabres for Anders Bjork and a second-round pick.

Hall bet on himself with a one-year deal in Buffalo and it could not have gone worse. Hall registered just two goals with 17 assists (19 points) in 37 games. That doesn't paint the entire picture though, Hall has shot just 2.3 percent with a career-low 6.7 on-ice SH%, so there's certainly reason to expect him to post bigger numbers in Boston. Hall will almost certainly play on the second line with David Krejci.

The Coyotes have acquired Taylor Hall and Blake Speers from the Devils for Nick Merkley, Nate Schnarr, Kevin Bahl, a 2020 first-round pick and 2021 conditional third-round pick.

Hall is a pending unrestricted free agent, so this could be a pure rental but the Coyotes are expected to pursue an extension. Hall will look to improve his numbers in Arizona to maximize his next deal and he could benefit from playing on a line with Phil Kessel. Hall's numbers so far are still decent, scoring six goals one 109 shots (5.5 SH%) with 19 assists (25 points) in 30 games.
