Things won't any easier tonight in Toronto--the Maple Leafs are 7-2-1 while averaging 3.30 goals per game (12th) in their first 10 games.

The loss snapped a three-game winning streak for Demko, who is now 1-3-0 with a 3.60 GAA and .895 SVS% in four road starts this season. Demko allowed one goal on 24 shots in the Canucks win in Winnipeg on Saturday. Demko appears to be slowly taking over the No.1 job in Vancouver, winning three in a row while stopping 100 of the 103 shots (.971 SV%) that he's faced. It's been a great turnaround after a rough start but he draws a terrible matchup tonight in Montreal.



Demko gave up seven goals on 42 shots in the Canucks loss to Montreal last Thursday. It was another terrible outing for Demko, who has given up at least four goals in each of his first three starts this season. Overall, he has a putrid 5.47 GAA and .866 SV% which accompanies an 0-3-0 record. On Monday, he'll face a Senators team that has lost four in a row while averaging 2.25 goals per game.


Braden Holtby was in the starter’s crease at the morning skate but Demko was the first one off, so it looks like they will continue to rotate goalies to open the season. The Flames have scored three goals in each of their first two games, including a 3-0 win vs. Holtby and Vancouver on Saturday.
