Kuhnhackl had been getting a shot on the Evgeni Malkin line with Patric Hornqvist out, but he left Tuesday’s game after playing just 1:48 TOI. Head coach Mike Sullivan did not have an update on Kuhnhackl post-game, so consider him questionable for Friday’s game in Dallas.
Kuhnhackl missed Saturday’s game vs. the Maple Leafs and is questionable for tonight’s game vs. the Avalanche. Kuhnhackl was on the ice for the morning skate, but skated as an extra forward so it doesn’t seem likely that he will play tonight.
Kuhnhackl left Sunday’s game with an unspecified injury and will miss at least a few weeks. With Kuhnhackl out, Eric Fehr will draw back into the lineup vs. the Rangers on Tuesday.
Kuhnhackl is questionable for today’s game vs. Winnipeg, but the young forward has just three points in 20 games, so he is not on the fantasy radar.
Kuhnhackl did not appear in a game with the Penguins, he heads to WBS where he had 12 goals and 18 assists (30 points) in 72 games last season.
Kühnhackl failed to make the Pens out of camp but could challenge for a spot next season. The 19-year-old scored 29 goals and 68 points in 63 games for the Windsor Spitfires last season. Keep him in mind as a legitimate NHL prospect.
