Madden will return to the Kings' organization for a fifth season after signing a one-year, two-way contract extension. The 24-year-old joined Ontario (AHL) from Northeastern (NCAA) in 2020-21 and had 15 goals and 34 points in 71 games played in 2023-24.

Madden had 20 goals, 13 assists, 12 PIMs and a -11 plus/minus through 71 games with Ontario (AHL) in 2022-23 and has signed a one-year, two-way contract worth $775,000 AAV. The 23-year-old centre was drafted by Vancouver in 2018 in the third-round (68th overall) and has yet to make his NHL debut.
Madden scored five goals and three assists with four PIMs through 16 games with Ontario (AHL) prior to being promoted to the NHL Thursday. If Madden cracks the Kings' lineup it will be the 23-year-olds NHL debut.
During his sophomore season at Northeastern University, Madden led the team with 37 points (19G / 18A) in 27 games. His 1.37 points per game ranked fifth in the country while his 19 goals tied for 11th overall. Madden was originally a 2018 third-round pick of the Canucks but was traded to the Kings as a part of the Tyler Toffoli trade.
