The Sabres have traded Tyler Myers, Drew Stafford, Joel Armia, Brendan Lemieux and a 1st round pick to the Jets for Evander Kane, Zach Bogosian and Jason Kasdorf.

Myers, 25, was the 12th overall pick in the 2008 draft. He has seemingly regressed at the same rate as his team in each of his first five and a half seasons in the NHL. He was asked to do a lot on a bad team and the move to Winnipeg should definitely help him. He is in the third year of a seven year deal and his fantasy value is now much higher than it was when he woke up this morning. This is a defenseman who had 48 points (11G / 37A) in his rookie season.

Myers (lower-body) will return to the Sabres lineup on Tuesday.

Myers has missed the last seven games with a lower-body injury but will get back into the lineup on Tuesday vs. New Jersey. "He's an anchor back there,” head coach Ted Nolan said after practice today. This is a big boost for the Sabres blue line—he will be paired with Josh Gorges.

Myers (undisclosed) is expected to return to the Sabres lineup on Friday.

Myers missed Wednesday’s game with an undisclosed injury, but it looks like he will be back on the blue line tonight vs. the Habs. He was paired with Tyson Strachan in the morning skate which suggests he will play. He has five points (1G / 4A) in 21 games.

Myers likely to miss Thursday's game with an upper-body injury.

Myers who had just returned to the lineup on Tuesday after missing five games with an elbow injury, suffered an upper-body injury in his first game back and will likely "miss some time" according to Sabres head coach Ted Nolan. With Myers out, Rasmus Ristolainen has been recalled from Rochester.

Myers (arm) will return to the Sabres lineup on Tuesday.

Myers has missed the last five games with an arm injury that he suffered in mid-March. The Sabres sent 19-year-old Rasmus Ristolainen back to the AHL to make space for Myers. He has nine goals, 13 assists and 58 penalty minutes with a minus-26 rating in 61 games this season. At 24-years-old, the 6-foot-8 D-man has certainly taken a step back in the last four seasons after a great rookie campaign in 2009-10.
