Rask cleared waivers and has been reassigned to Iowa (AHL).

With Nick Bjugstad close to returning to the Wild lineup, Rask was waived and sent to the minors to clear room on the roster. The emergence of Matt Boldy and Connor Dewar had pushed Rask to a reserve role.

Rask (lower-body) is expected to be back in the Wild's lineup on Thursday.

Rask has missed the last two contests with a lower-body issue but is expected to replace Jordan Greenway (illness) in Nashville. Rask has one goal and one assist in three games this season.

Rask is day-to-day with a lower-body injury and is questionable for Friday.

Rask left Tuesday’s game against the Flyers with a lower-body injury and likely won’t play on Friday. With both Rask and Matt Hendricks listed as day-to-day, Brad Hunt may dress as a forward tomorrow.

The Hurricanes have activated Victor Rask from injured reserve.

Rask has missed the first 20 games of the season after undergoing surgery on his hand in the preseason. Rask suffered a freak kitchen accident, slicing two of his fingers with a knife. His activation from IR makes his available for Wednesday’s game, but there’s no indication whether or not he will actually make his season debut tonight or not.

Rask has missed the first 20 games of the season, but returned to practice on Tuesday and will be in the lineup “as soon as possible,” according to head coach Rod Brind’Amour. Rask will continue to practice with the Hurricanes but his return date is still up in the air.

The Hurricanes signed Victor Rask to a six-year contract extension worth $24 million ($4.0M AAV) on July 12th.

Rask, 23, is coming off of his second full NHL season and it was a good one. After a solid rookie campaign, Rask notched 21 goals and 27 assists for 48 points, which was tied for second on the team. Rask has settled in as the Hurricanes’ second-line centre behind Jordan Staal and should push for 50 points in 2016-17.

Rask (upper-body) is expected to return to the Hurricanes lineup on Tuesday.

Rask has missed the last two games with an upper-body injury, but will be back in the lineup tonight vs. the Penguins. Rask has had a strong year, collecting 11 goals and 15 assists (26 points) in 41 games. He will skate on the Hurricanes third line with Jeff Skinner and Brock McGinn on his wings.
