Ville Husso News
Husso has spent the entire season with San Antonio (AHL), going 10-12-8 with a 2.93 GAA and .898 SV% in 30 games. Husso projects to be the future backup to Jordan Binnington, but Jake Allen has one year left on his deal, so Husso's time likely isn't until 2022.
Husso appeared in 27 games with San Antonio (AHL) last season, going 6-18-0 with a 3.67 GAA and .871 SV%. With Jordan Binnington and Jake Allen clearly ahead of him on the depth chart, Husso will remain in the AHL to start the 2020 campaign.
Husso was recalled on Monday because Jake Allen was dealing with an injury, but it was not as serious as originally expected. Husso’s return to the AHL means that Allen will at least be available to backup on Thursday.
Husso has been recalled because Jake Allen was hurt on Saturday, but may not play during his time in St. Louis. Husso has never made an NHL appearance and has gone 1-6-0 with a 3.19 GAA and .887 SV% in seven AHL games this season.
Husso was recalled to backup Jake Allen on Monday and he could be recalled again to do the same on Thursday, but that is all dependant on Carter Hutton’s health.
Husso was Jake Allen’s backup on Saturday but went down to get a start with San Antonio, where he posted a 21-save shutout on Sunday, and he returns to backup Allen tonight in Anaheim. Husso’s recall means that Carter Hutton still is not ready to go.
