Trocheck suffered an upper-body injury in the Rangers' second game of the season. He was given a week-to-week return timeline and will officially be out of the lineup for at least a month after being placed on Long-Term Injured Reserve. His offensive prowess will be greatly missed on a Rangers team that has already been shut out in three of its first five games (2-3-0).

Trocheck, who leads the Hurricanes in goals, will obviously be a huge loss and will likely lead to more playing time for Sebastian Aho and Jordan Staal. Look for Morgan Geekie to replace him in the lineup.

Trocheck was scratched in Columbus on Monday due to a lower-body injury but head coach Rod Brind'Amour is hopeful that he'll be available on Thursday. Trocheck, who has had a hot start to the season, travelled to Dallas and comes in with six goals and three assists (nine points) in nine games.
