The wing next to Malkin and Neal this year has been a revolving door of mediocre players, lets see if Boychuk can solidify a spot on this roster. He's getting the chance to do so.
Boychuk won't be fantasy relevant until he cracks the Penguins roster. If he does play for the Pens he could see time with Malkin's line, which would certainly give him fantasy value.
If Boychuk start the season with Eric Staal and Alexander Semin he could be in for a hot start. He had 16 goals and 16 assists in 37 games in the AHL during the lockout. Keep an eye on the former 1st round pick, you might like what you see.
With Chad LaRose healthy, Boychuk heads back to the AHL. He has two assists in 16 games this season.
