Zack Mitchell News

The Wild inked Jordan Greenway to a three-year, entry-level contract this morning so they had to clear room to add him to the roster. Mitchell returns to Iowa, where he has 14 goals and 15 assists (29 points) in 33 games this season.

Mitchell had three goals and two assists (five points) in 21 games with the Wild this season. With Zach Parise (back) returning to the lineup tonight, the Wild needed to make room for him to be activated from LTIR. Mitchell goes back to Iowa where he has 16 points (5G / 11A) in 11 games this season.

Mitchell, 24, has registered one assist in three games with Minnesota and two assists in four games with Iowa so far this season. He is expected to draw in on the Wild’s fourth line on Thursday.

Mitchell has not picked up a point in 10 games with Minnesota this season, but has 14 points (8G / 6A) in 39 games. Mitchell is expected to take Tyler Graovac’s spot in the lineup because Graovac will be placed on waivers on Monday.

Mitchell, 23, has registered one goal in 11 games with Iowa this season and this is his first NHL call-up, but it’s unknown when or if he will make his NHL debut.
