Lindgren will make his first start of the season on Tuesday. Carey Price has started seven straight games but has given up 11 goals in his last two games, so Lindgren will make his season debut in Carolina. The 26-year-old netminder was 7-6-2 with a 2.67 GAA and .893 SV% in 16 AHL games before being called up. The loss snapped a brief two-game winning streak for Gibson, who has gone 4-3-1 with a 2.80 GAA and .905 SV% in December. The win snapped a brief but ugly two-game losing skid for Fleury, who had a super easy night in his first game against Anaheim. Merzlikins will start Tuesday vs. the Panthers. Merzlikins was handed the loss after replacing Joonas Korpisalo in the shootout on Sunday. With Korpisalo out for at least one month, this will be a huge test for the 25-year-old Merzlikins. Blackwood has gone 4-1-1 with a 2.74 GAA and .910 SV% in his last six starts but draws a tough home assignment with the Bruins in town on Tuesday. Hellebuyck has lost four of his last five starts (1-3-1) while posting a 3.64 GAA and .885 SV%, which includes a 31-save shutout in Minnesota for the only win.
