Gibson will make his third start of the season when the Ducks travel to Chicago for the tail-end of their back-to-back on Tuesday. After a phenomenal season debut, Gibson came back down to earth his last time out, but still managed to secure the victory. He allowed four goals on 25 shots in a 6-4 win over the Red Wings on Friday. Gibson has a good chance of maintaining his perfect record on the season with the Ducks travelling to Chicago to take on the 6-11-1 Blackhawks.

McGinn played just over 5 minutes in ice time before suffering the lower-body injury and was unable to return. We should receive an update on his status ahead of Anaheim's game in Chicago on Tuesday.

The Ducks will turn back to Dostal on Monday after John Gibson got the nod against the Red Wings on Friday. Dostal was unfortunate to come away with the loss his last time out, allowing just three goals on 39 shots in a narrow 3-2 defeat against the Golden Knights. The 24-year-old netminder owns a disappointing 4-6-2 record despite an impressive .922 SV% on the season. He will need to be at his best on Monday as the Ducks enter action as massive +350 underdogs in Dallas.

Calvin de Haan will be a healthy scratch on Monday, allowing Kylington to re-enter the lineup. Kylington has only played four games this season, including a game as a forward when the Avalanche were battling a myriad of injuries, and has zero points while averaging 11:09 time-on-ice.

Urho Vaakanainen (undisclosed) will exit the lineup due to injury, allowing Helleson to make his season debut. Helleson was the second-round pick, 47th overall, of the Colorado Avalanche in the 2019 NHL Entry Draft. The 23-year-old made his NHL debut with the Ducks in the 2022-23 season, playing three games, but has played exclusively in the AHL since.

Fabbri is averaging 16:33 time-on-ice, the most in his career since the 2021-22 season with the Detroit Red Wings, but only has two points (2G / 0A) in 14 games this season. The 29-year-old Fabbri will be out of the lineup for approximately six weeks after undergoing surgery on his meniscus.

After being sidelined for the first part of the season after undergoing an appendectomy, Gibson will return to the crease for the Ducks for the second time in three games. Gibson was tremendous in his season debut last week, saving 38 of 40 shots (.950 SV%) in a 4-2 win over the Columbus Blue Jackets. The Ducks enter the action on Friday as +130 home underdogs against a Detroit Red Wings club that has won three of their last five (3-2-0).

The Ducks will turn back to Dostal tonight despite a stellar season debut from John Gibson on Sunday. Dostal has struggled of late after a phenomenal start to the season, going winless in his last three starts with an .856 SV%. Despite the rough patch, the 24-year-old netminder still owns a .922 SV% and a 2.73 GAA on the season. He'll need to be at his best on Wednesday with the Ducks being +185 home underdogs against the Golden Knights.

Helleson was the second-round pick, 47th overall, of the Colorado Avalanche in the 2019 NHL Entry Draft. The 23-year-old made his NHL debut with the Ducks in the 2022-23 season, playing three games, but has played exclusively in the AHL since.

Harkins played one game with the Ducks earlier this season but has spent most of the 2024-25 campaign as an offensive powerhouse in the AHL. The 27-year-old Harkins has 17 points (5G ./ 12A) in 11 games with the San Diego Gulls (AHL) this season.

McTavish did not play on Sunday, and did not practice on Tuesday, but could still be an option for the Ducks on Wednesday against the Vegas Golden Knights. The 21-year-old McTavish has eight points (2G / 6A) in 13 games this season.

Fabbri is averaging 16:33 time-on-ice, the most in his career since the 2021-22 season with the Detroit Red Wings, but only has two points (2G / 0A) in 14 games this season. The 29-year-old Fabbri will be eligible to return, at the earliest, on November 18th against the Dallas Stars.

Gibson will make his season debut on Sunday after recovering from an appendectomy. The 31-year-old Gibson had a 3.54 GAA and .888 SV% in 46 appearances last season (13-27-2). The Ducks enter the action on Sunday as -116 home favorites against the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Gibson underwent an emergency appendectomy on September 25th and is nearing the end of his original 3-6 week timeline. The American netminder has failed to produce a save percentage above .900 in each of the last two seasons and beginning 2024-25 on the Injured Reserve is a tough way to ensure a bounce-back campaign after only 13 wins in 2023-24. Gibson will back up Lukas Dostal in Friday's game against the Wild.

For the fifth straight game, despite a three-game losing skid, the Ducks will turn to Dostal between the pipes. The 24-year-old Dostal has allowed nine combined goals in his last two outings (0-2-0), but has been tremendous for most of the season, boasting an impressive 2.50 GAA and .930 SV% in 10 games (4-4-2), stats that are even more impressive considering the Ducks are averaging only 2.1 goals per game, fewest in the NHL. The Ducks enter action on Friday as +174 home underdogs against the Minnesota Wild.

With Alex Lyon suffering a lower-body injury, the Red Wings recalled Husso from the Grand Rapids Griffins (AHL) on an emergency basis. Husso started the season with the Red Wings and couldn't complete a game, allowing four goals on 14 shots (.714 SV%), and was sent down to the AHL immediately after. The 29-year-old netminder has fared well in limited action in the AHL, posting a solid 1.23 GAA and .958 SV%.

Alex Lyon was named as the Red Wings' starter for Friday's game, but the recall of Husso casts some doubt on Lyon's or Cam Talbot's availability. The Red Wings reportedly have a flu bug going around the locker room, so it's possible one of Lyon or Talbot is sick and won't be available against Toronto. Expect an update during their morning skate this morning. Husso has been spectacular since going to the AHL, stopping 69 of the 72 shots (1.23 GAA / .958 SV%) that he's faced in three appearances.
