Vancouver has acquired Lukas Reichel from Chicago for a 2027 4th round pick.

Reichel was a high-end prospect for the Blackhawks, drafted 17th-overall in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft, that has trouble acclimating to the NHL in the Blackhawks organization. The 23-year-old was regularly a healthy scratch and saw limited ice time. He scored 58 points (22G / 36A) in 174 career games with the Blackhawks and was off to a strong start in the 2025-26 season, scoring four points (2G / 2A) in five games.

Borgen (lower body) is expected to play on Saturday in Montreal.

Borgen was a game-time decision in Thursday's 2-1 overtime loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs, but took to the ice, playing a season-low 16:22 time-on-ice. His lower-body injury continues to linger but he will likely stay in the lineup on Sunday against the Montreal Canadiens.

Borgen showed no signs of an injury in Tuesday's 2-0 loss to the Edmonton Oilers, playing a season-high 20:32 time-on-ice, but did not participate in practice on Wednesday. His status for Thursday's game against the New York Rangers was up in the air, but it appears he will be able to suit up after taking full part in warmups.

Swayman will start in Vegas on Thursday.

The Bruins are coming off their first loss of the season (3-1-0), but Swayman remains perfect and will return to the crease on Thursday against the Vegas Golden Knights. After a forgetful 2024-25 season, the 26-year-old Swayman is off to a hot start in 2025-26, posting a 1.00 GAA and .966 SV% through two games (2-0-0). Still, the Bruins enter Thursday's contest as +198 road underdogs against a Golden Knights team that has scored 14 goals through their first four games (2-0-2).
