Burakovsky returned to the Seattle lineup on Thursday after a six-week absence due to an upper-body injury. However, after just one game, he will be on the shelf again on a week-to-week timeline with an unrelated upper-body injury, a tough blow for Burakovsky and the Kraken. The 28-year-old forward played 9:05 time-on-ice in his return, recording one assist and one shot on goal.

Burakovsky has not played since October 21st, missing 20 games with an upper-body injury, but is expected to make his long-awaited return to the lineup on Thursday against the New Jersey Devils. Burakovsky had two points (0G / 2A) in six games before his injury and will likely slot in on the second line with Jared McCann and Alexander Wennberg.

Crevier was a healthy scratch for the Blackhawks' previous game but will draw back into the lineup Thursday vs. Anaheim as he replaces Jarred Tinordi (concussion). The 22-year-old towering defence man (6'8") will make only his second career NHL appearance Thursday and is expected to be on Chicago's third pairing alongside Nikita Zaitsev.

Burakovsky last played on October 21st and was projected to miss 6-8 week with an upper-body injury and is "very close" to returning according to Seattle's head coach Dave Hakstol. The 28-year-old got off to a slow start prior to his injury, with no goals, two assists, 14 SOG, and a -2 plus/minus in six games.

Crevier played 15:59 in his NHL debut on Sunday and was held without a point, but had one shot on goal, one block, and two hits. Crevier was recalled last week from the Rockford IceHogs of the AHL, where he has five points (0G / 5A) in 16 games.

Soderblom has only one victory in his last nine appearances but will likely start on Tuesday for a struggling Blackhawks team that has been outscored 12-3 over their last three games (0-3-0). Soderblom has an undesirable 3.71 GAA and .883 SV% in 11 games (2-8-0) this season as the Blackhawks are sizeable +167 home underdogs against a Nashville Predators team that ranks mid-pack in the league offensively (3.17 GF / GP).

Burakovsky participated in his first full practice on Monday after not playing since October 21st. Burakovsky had two points (0G / 2A) in six games before suffering an upper-body injury and will be a huge boost for a Seattle Kraken offence that ranks fourth-worst in the league (2.68 GF / GP).

Soderblom will start for the first time in three games Saturday as he takes on Winnipeg on the road. The 24-year-old has only beaten the Toronto Maple Leafs in 2023-24 and holds a non-inspiring 2-7-0 record, 3.78 GAA and .882 SV% in 10 games played. He takes on the Winnipeg Jets on the road, who is looking to snap a three-game losing streak and are 14th in the NHL in goals per game (3.27).

Toninato has been with the Jets for an extended period this season but has been unable to crack the lineup and, as such, will be loaned to the Manitoba Moose (AHL), where he will see some game action. In five games with Manitoba, Toninato has four 4 points (1G / 3A).

Grzelcyk missed the minimum of 10 games on LTIR and is expected to play Saturday in New York. Grzelcyk will replace Mason Lohrei, who was sent back to Providence (AHL) in a corresponding transaction. Grzelcyk had one goal on 12 SOG in nine games before getting hurt.

Soderblom will attempt to snap a personal five-game losing streak Friday as he draws the start vs. Toronto at home. The 24-year-old has struggled for a third consecutive season, with his 1-6-0 record, 3.89 GAA, and .879 SV%. He will look to snap Toronto's four-game winning streak, who are seventh in the NHL in goals per game (3.53) and 11th in shots per game (31.7).

Anderson has enjoyed a fantastic start to his 2023-24 season in Rockford (AHL) with seven goals, nine assists, two PIMs, and a -3 plus/minus in 14 games played and has been recalled to Chicago Thursday. The 25-year-old appeared in 24 games in 2022-23 with the Blackhawks, where he had four goals, six points, 28 SOG, and a -9 plus/minus in 24 games played.
