Toninato was recalled Friday in a move that corresponds with Nikolaj Ehlers being placed on the injured reserve.

Grzelcyk missed the first four games of the season after getting a procedure done on his shoulder in the summer. Grzelcyk will replace Anton Stralman (visa issues) in the line-up and should see top-4 minutes and PP2 time at the very least. Grzelcyk had four goals and 20 assists (24 points) in 73 games a season ago.

Ilya Mikheyev will return to the Canucks lineup Tuesday to make his Vancouver debut after missing their opening two games with a lower-body injury. Mikheyev signed a 4 year, $19,000,000 contract with the Canucks in the offseason after scoring 21 goals and 32 points in 53 games with the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Vlasic missed the first three games of the season with an undisclosed injury and has been sent to the AHL with Jake McCabe set to return to the lineup soon.

Bertuzzi left Saturday's game with an upper-body injury, believed to be his hand, and will miss at least one month. Filip Zadina will draw into the lineup to replace Bertuzzi on Monday, and Dominik Kubalik will skate on the top line with Dylan Larkin and Lucas Raymond.

Bertuzzi left after logging 8:14 TOI and registering an assist and two shots on goal. The Red Wings were off on Sunday, so there was no update on his status, so consider him questionable to play Monday vs. the Kings.

Florida's prized young goaltender will take the crease for his first start of 2022-23. Signing a three-year, $13.5-million contract extension in the offseason, the 21-year-old will be looking to build off an up-and-down first full season in 2022-21, where he posted a .908 SV% and 2.79 GAA backing up the President Trophy winners.

Grzelcyk continues to make progress and was upgraded to "day-to-day" on Friday. The Bruins anticipate that Grzelcyk could play as soon as the end of next week. Grzelcyk will likely take over for Hampus Lindholm on PP1 while Charlie McAvoy is still sidelined, making him a decent waiver wire addition for teams in need of blueline help.

Vlasic was hurt while blocking a shot in practice last week and will miss the season opener but is "feeling much better," according to head coach Luke Richardson. Filip Roos will make his NHL debut in Vlasic's place.

Mikheyev was originally considered week-to-week after suffering a lower-body injury in the preseason. Despite being moved to IR, Mikheyev travelled with the team to Edmonton and may not be sidelined as long as initially feared.

Dickinson, who had 11 points (5G / 6A) in 62 games with the Canucks last season, was going to be at the bottom of the Canucks lineup heading into 2022-23. With Tyler Myers banged up, the Canucks seemed to think they needed defensive depth more than the bottom-6 forward.

Grzelcyk's original timetable was set for mid-November, but the Bruins defenseman is ahead of schedule and expects to be back a couple of weeks earlier. Grzelcyk will likely take over as the quarterback on PP1 while Charlie McAvoy is sidelined.

Grzelcyk had a procedure on his right shoulder in early June and had an expected recovery time of five months. Expect Hampus Lindholm to quarterback the Bruins' No.1 PP unit while Grzelcyk and Charlie McAvoy are sidelined to open the season.

Knight's new contract does not kick in until next season, he'll play 2022-23 in the final year of his ELC. The 21-year-old will open the season as the No.2 behind Sergei Bobrovsky but could fight for near equal usage. Last season he was 19-9-3 with a 2.74 GAA and .908 SV%.
