Mrazek will start Game 2 vs. the Rangers.

Mrazek stopped 24 of 26 shots in the Hurricanes 3-2 win over the Rangers in Game 1. In typical Hurricanes fashion, Henrik Lundqvist was a lot busier in the first game of the series but Mrazek stood tall when he was called upon. Mrazek is now 6-5-0 with an .896 SV% in 12 career playoff games with the Hurricanes.

He has been excellent in his last seven starts, going 5-0-2 with a 2.07 GAA and .934 SV%. Shaw (concussion) will miss the remainder of the 2020 season.

Shaw has been out since November 30th and will miss the final 18 games of the season with lingering concussion issues. Missing such a lengthy period of time with a concussion is obviously not a good sign and hopefully, Shaw will be ready to return to the NHL at the start of the 2021 campaign.
