Georgiev will start in Washington on Tuesday.

The Avalanche will turn to Georgiev between the pipes on Tuesday night as they attempt to snap a four-game losing skid. Georgiev has allowed four goals in his last two contests but played well on Saturday, saving 39 of 43 shots (.907 SV%) in a 4-0 loss to the Florida Panthers. The Avalanche are -185 road favourites against a Capitals club that ranks bottom-five in the league offensively (2.37 GF / GP).

MacKinnon (chin) was not at practice on Monday after leaving the previous game vs. Florida early due to injury.

Head coach Jared Bednar stated that MacKinnon "should be good to go tomorrow" after missing practice Monday due to a chin injury which caused him to leave their game vs. Florida early. The Avalanche' will hope the injury does not linger as MacKinnon is the odds-on favourite to win this year's Hart Trophy due to his 32 goals, 85 points, 240 SOG, 30 PIMs and +15 plus/minus through 53 games played this season.

After getting the night off on the back end of a back-to-back on Tuesday, Georgiev will return to the crease for the sixth time in the last seven games. Georgiev has been excellent lately, posting a .938 SV% across his last three games (2-0-1) while allowing two or fewer goals in each contest, his first stretch of that calibre since the opening week of the season. That said, the Avalanche are +122 road underdogs on Thursday against a Carolina Hurricanes club that saw their three-game winning streak end with a 3-2 loss to the Vancouver Canucks on Tuesday.

After Alexandar Georgiev got the nod in Monday's 2-1 overtime defeat to the Rangers, the Avalanche will turn to Annunen for the tail-end of their back-to-back in New Jersey on Tuesday. Annunen owns a 14-5-4 record on the year along with a .908 SV% in 23 games with the Colorado Eagles (AHL). His lone NHL start this season came on January 16th in Ottawa. The 23-year-old netminder allowed four goals on 40 shots as the Avalanche walked away with a 7-4 victory. He draws a tough matchup on Tuesday in New Jersey, though the Avalanche do still find themselves as slight favourites at -115.

Georgiev will start in New York on Monday.

Georgiev will return to the crease for the fifth straight game on Monday night when the Avalanche face off against his former team, the New York Rangers. Georgiev is riding a three-game winning streak, saving 85 of 92 shots (.924 SV%) and has been stellar in limited action against his former team, posting a 1.38 GAA and .960 SV% in two contests (1-0-1). The Avalanche have won three straight but are slight -102 road underdogs on Monday.

Malinski has been recalled from the Colorado Eagles (AHL).

Malinski missed one game for the Avalanche as he was returned to the Colorado Eagles (AHL) but has been recalled again Monday. The 25-year-old was having an impressive season in his first taste of the big leagues, with three goals, 10 points, 29 SOG, and a +4 plus/minus in 22 games played.

Parise will make his Avalanche debut on Monday vs. the Rangers.

Parise was most recently with the Islanders in 2022-23, when he tallied 21 goals and 13 assists (34 points) in 82 games. The 18-year veteran has 879 career points (429G / 450A) in 1224 regular season games with the Wild, Devils and Islanders. Parise is expected to slot in on a line with Artturi Lehkonen and Ryan Johansen.
