Parise has been effective since being signed by Coloraod last month but will miss his first game on Friday due to a lower-body injury. The 39-year-old Forward has seven points (4G / 3A) in 15 games while averaging 14:15 time-on-ice.
Parise was most recently with the Islanders in 2022-23, when he tallied 21 goals and 13 assists (34 points) in 82 games. The 18-year veteran has 879 career points (429G / 450A) in 1224 regular season games with the Wild, Devils and Islanders. Parise is expected to slot in on a line with Artturi Lehkonen and Ryan Johansen.

The 18-year veteran has 879 career points (429G / 450A) in 1224 regular season games with the Wild, Devils and Islanders. Parise could be a replacement for Valeri Nichushkin, who is in the NHL's Player Assistance Program and is out indefinitely.
Parise, Cal Clutterbuck, Matt Martin and Robin Salo have been activated from COVID-19 protocol and are expected to suit up vs. the Sabres.
On the day that the Islanders activated players like Mathew Barzal, they also added four forwards to the protocol list, including Parise. This group is expected to be out until next Wednesday.
The Wild signed Parise to a 13-year, $98M contract in 2012 and bought out the final four years on Tuesday. Parise will count against the Wild's cap until 2028-29, carrying a $2.372M cap-hit in 2021-22.
Parise has been out since March 22nd but is expected to play Wednesday vs. the Avalanche. It's unclear where he will slot into the lineup but it seems logical that he could play in the top-6 with Mats Zuccarello out with an injury of his own.
Parise was a healthy scratch on Wednesday but will draw right back into the lineup on Friday. Parise, who has nine points (3G / 6A) in 19 games, will skate on a line with Nick Bjugstad and Kevin Fiala.
Since the Wild returned to action in mid-February, Parise has one goal and three assists in eight games. Parise played just 13:44 TOI on Monday and will be scratched in favour of Gerald Mayhew on Wednesday.
Parise, who just returned from an injury, will now likely be shutdown for the season with the flu. Nico Sturm is expected to make his NHL debut on Thursday to replace Parise.
Parise was scratched on Thursday after being listed as a healthy scratch, but will play Saturday vs. the Sabres. Parise, who has 16 points (7G / 9A) in 18 games this season, was back on a line with Mikko Koivu and Nino Niederreiter this morning.
