Manson (undisclosed) is not on the ice for warmups.

Manson was a game-time decision on Monday due to an undisclosed injury. Manson has been an effective contributor over the last couple of weeks with five points (3G / 2A), 18 shots on goal, and 24 hits in his last seven games. Sam Malinski will draw into the lineup in his place.

Wood (illness) is questionable to play Monday vs. Boston and will be a game-time decision.

Wood did not play on Saturday and will be a game-time decision on Monday as he battles an illness. Wood was very effective in a top-six role in his last outing, scoring one point (0G / 1A) and firing three shots on goal in 15:31 time-on-ice.

Manson (undisclosed) will be a game-time decision Monday vs. Boston.

Manson has been an effective contributor over the last couple of weeks with five points (3G / 2A), 18 shots on goal, and 24 hits in his last seven games. If he is unable to suit up on Monday, Sam Malinski will likely draw into the lineup.

Lehkonen (upper body) shed his non-contact jersey in practice Monday.

Lehkonen participated in his first full practice on Monday after several weeks of wearing a non-contact jersey. Before his injury, Lehkonen had eight points (3G / 5A) in 12 games, averaging 18:30 time-on-ice, playing predominantly alongside Nathan MacKinnon and Mikko Rantanen, including top powerplay deployment. Valeri Nischushkin has been the main benefactor, occupying Lehkonen's offensive deployment, scoring 32 points (18G / 14A) in 26 games since.

Georgiev will start Monday vs. Boston.

Georgiev has appeared in 10 straight games for the Avalanche and will return to the starter's crease on Monday against the Boston Bruins. Despite salvaging a respectable 2-1-0 record, Georgiev has allowed three or more goals in his last three games, posting an atrocious .841 SV%. The 27-year-old netminder has a sub- .900 SV% in seven of his last 12 outings (7-3-1). That said, the Avalanche are -129 home favourites against a Bruins club that has scored 12 goals in their last two games (1-1-0).

Malinski has been recalled from the Colorado Eagles (AHL) on emergency loan.

Malinski has had some success with the Avalanche earlier this season and could another chance to showcase his talents as he was recalled on an emergency basis on Monday. In 14 games with the Avalanche, Malinski has five points (1G / 4A), 15 shots, and 15 blocks.

Sam Malinski
Phillips will be a healthy scratch Friday vs. Carolina.

Hendrix Lapierre will draw back into the lineup for the Capitals on Friday, relegating Phillips to the press box as a healthy scratch. Phillips was held without a point in 11:51 time-on-ice in his last outing while playing on a line with Dylan Strome and Max Pacioretty.

Georgiev will start in Dallas on Thursday.

Georgiev will start for the Avalanche in a matchup against their division rivals, the Dallas Stars. The Avalanche are +113 road underdogs against a Stars team they defeated 6-3 in mid-November when Georgiev allowed three goals on 28 shots (.893 SV%). The 27-year-old netminder allowed four goals on 22 shots (.818 SV%) in his last outing, a 5-4 overtime win over the New York Islanders, but, despite winning five of his last six (5-0-1), owns an unimpressive .899 SV% during that stretch.

John Ludvig (upper body) has been placed on the Long-Term Injured Reserve and is expected to be out "longer term".

Ludvig's first NHL season has been riddled with injuries. He missed 11 games after suffering a concussion in his NHL debut in October, limiting him to only 19 games this season, tallying one point (0G / 1A) and 23 penalty minutes. His latest injury is upper-body, placing him on LTIR, has resulted in the Penguins recalling Ryan Shea from the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins of the AHL and is expected to keep him on the shelf for a lengthy amount of time.

Alexandar Georgiev will start Tuesday vs. the Islanders.

Georgiev will start for the eighth straight game and search for his sixth win over that stretch. Georgiev has helped the Avalanche collect a point in five straight (4-0-1) and has a save percentage above .900 in four of those games, a rarity for the inconsistent netminder this season. Georgiev and the Avalanche are sizeable -182 home favourites on Tuesday against the Islanders, who have lost two of their last three games (1-2-0), including being outscored 10-1 in two games against the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Ross Colton (undisclosed) will be a game-time decision Tuesday vs. the New York Islanders.

Colton has been out of the lineup since blocking a shot in the third period on December 27th, exiting the game after playing only 11:16 time-on-ice. Before leaving the game, Colton recorded four hits and extended his point streak to two games with an assist. He has been a game-time decision in each game since his injury.
