Mrazek gets the nod in Carolina.

Mrazek allowed two goals on 28 shots in the Red Wings loss to the Capitals last Sunday. He has lost four in a row while posting a 2.98 GAA and .898 SV%. He has struggled recently, but Jimmy Howard allowed a couple of weak goals on Thursday, so they will go back to Mrazek in the season finale.

Talbot has won three of five while posting a 2.58 GAA and .917 SV%. Tonight he will face a Devils team who have lost seven of eight.

Mrazek allowed three goals on 25 shots in the Red Wings 3-2 loss to the Bruins on Thursday. He played well but allowed a softie late in the third. He has one win while posted a 2.48 GAA and .911 SV% in his last five appearances. He has gone 5-3-2 with a 2.16 GAA and .921 SV% in nine starts and two relief appearance at home this season.

Mrazek made 33 saves on 34 shots in the Red Wings 2-1 shootout loss to the Senators on Tuesday. It was a lacklustre effort by the Red Wings, but Mrazek was great, earning him a fourth straight start. He has gone 1-0-1 with a 2.28 GAA and .920 SV% in his previous three starts. Tonight is a massive matchup against the Bruins, who have won three straight.

Mrazek was pulled after allowing four goals on 11 shots in the Red Wings 5-4 loss to the Islanders on Sunday. It was a rough outing after posting a 23-save shutout on Saturday. Mrazek comes into play at 2-2-0 with a 2.53 GAA and .922 SV% in March. Tonight he will face a Senators team who have lost three consecutive games after winning their previous seven.

Kane is just five weeks into a 12-week timeline and when coach Joel Quenneville was asked if his timeline has changed, the coach said “There’s been excellent progress. It could be good news. We’ll see.” This is great news for the Blackhawks, but when he will return remains fuzzy. He could be back in time for game-1 of the playoffs.

Talbot allowed one goal on 24 shots in the Rangers win in Ottawa on Thursday. He was given yesterday off, but he will be in goal today vs. the Capitals. Talbot has won three of his last four while posting a 2.23 GAA and .929 SV%. This afternoon he will make his 15th start at Madison Square Garden—Talbot has gone 9-2-3 with a 1.81 GAA and .939 SV% in his first 14 starts at home.

Mrazek stopped all 23 shots that he faced in the Red Wings 4-0 win over the Lightning yesterday. It was a big win for the Red Wings, who had been struggling mightily heading into Saturday. Mrazek’s shutout earned him the back-to-back start this afternoon vs. the Islanders. New York comes in having lost seven of their last eight games.
