Perron will forfeit $148,437.48 in salary for his six-game suspension. He does have the option to appeal the suspension to a neutral arbitrator. Perron has seven goals and six assists in 26 games with the Red Wings this season.

Lagesson did not play the last two games for the Maple Leafs due to an illness but will return to the lineup on Monday against the New York Islanders. Lagesson is averaging 15:00 time-on-ice, has one point (0G / 1A), and 25 hits in 14 games, skating primarily alongside Simon Benoit, though he'll start tonight's game on a pair with Jake McCabe.

Larkin exited Saturday's contest against the Ottawa Senators, playing only 5:26 time-on-ice, after a scary incident that left him motionless on the ice for several moments. Larkin was able to skate off the ice with the help of his teammates but will be out of the lineup for a minimum of one week as he has been placed on the injured reserve. Zach Aston-Reese and Austin Czarnik have both been recalled from the Grand Rapids Griffins of the AHL. Larkin's absence creates a void at the center-ice position for the Red Wings, who are already without J.T. Compher (soreness).

Compher has been placed on the injured reserve, joining Red Wings centreicemen Dylan Larkin (upper-body) and Klim Kostin (undisclosed). Before his injury, the 28-year-old Compher was pacing for the best season of his career with 19 points (6G / 13A) in 24 games. The Red Wings have recalled Zach Aston-Reese and Austin Czarnik to help fill the void at center-ice for the Red Wings. Coach Derek Lalonde stated that Compher could be available to return on Thursday.

Compher has not participated in the last several practices for the Red Wings but will be a game-time decision on Saturday against the Ottawa Senators. The 28-year-old Compher is pacing for the best season of his career with 19 points (6G / 13A) in 24 games. He will likely join Alex DeBrincat and Patrick Kane on the second line if he can return.

Talbot has been used between the pipes much more sparingly lately but will return to the crease for the fourth time in the last seven games when the Kings visit the Montreal Canadiens. The Kings have won eight of their last nine (8-1-0) and are significant -208 road favourites against a Canadiens team they defeated 4-0 two weeks ago with Phoenix Copley as their goaltender. Talbot has been a steadying presence for the Kings all season and has an outstanding .945 SV% over his past 10 games (8-2-0).

Compher has been a scarce participant at practice for the Red Wings lately and will not play on Thursday against the San Jose Sharks. Compher is having a tremendous season in his first year with the Red Wings, scoring 19 points (6G / 13A) in 24 games but averaging only 1.3 shots on goal per game. Joe Veleno is expected to replace Compher, centring a second line with Alex DeBrincat and Patrick Kane in his season debut.

Kane will make his much anticipated Red Wings' debut Thursday as Detroit takes on San Jose. The 35-year-old signed a one-year, $2,750,000 last week and is expected to lineup on Detroits top power play and second line alongside Alex DeBrincat. He will look to add to the 451 goals and 1237 points he has amassed over his incredibly impressive 1180 game NHL career.

Gibson has been a workhorse between the pipes for the Anaheim Ducks lately, starting seven of their last eight games, appearing in all of them, and will start again on Tuesday. The Ducks are 1-7-0 in their last eight, with Gibson posting an undesirable .884 SV% in the process. The Ducks only win over that stretch game in their most recent outing, a 4-3 victory over the Colorado Avalanche, where Gibson saved 34 of 37 shots (.919 SV%). That said, the Ducks are still sizeable +236 road underdogs in a rematch against the Avalanche.
