Tarasov will start Tuesday vs. the Coyotes.

It will be a second straight start for Tarasov after he got his first career win in a 30-save (.968 SV%) 5-1 victory over the New York Rangers last time out. He brings his .912 SV% and high 3.33 GAA into his fourth start of the season. The Blue Jackets draw the easier task of the 1-4-0 Arizona Coyotes, who rank last in the NHL in SOG (24.0) and 28th in GF/GP (2.6).

Gibson will start Thursday in Boston.

Gibson and the Anaheim defence have struggled mightily in his three starts as his 5.96 GAA is second last in the NHL supported by his low .872 SV%. The Ducks head to Boston to take on a 3-1-0 Bruins team coming off their first loss Tuesday in a 7-5 battle with the Ottawa Senators. Even without superstar Brad Marchand the Bruins are averaging 5.25 GF/G through their first four.

The Canucks have assigned Sheldon Dries to Abbotsford (AHL).

Dries did not appear in either of the Canucks first two games of the season and was sent to the AHL to make room for Noah Juulsen after Tucker Poolman was injured on Saturday. Dries had 35 goals and 27 assists (62 points) in 54 games with Abbotsford (AHL) last year.

Gibson will start on Long Island on Saturday.

Gibson enters Saturday's matchup against the New York Islanders 1-0-0 after an incredible opening night performance by the 10-year-veteran. The Ducks workhorse stood true to his title stopping 44 of 48 shots in Anaheim's 5-4 opening night overtime win against Seattle Wednesday. He will hope to face less action in his second start after finishing 2021-22 with the seventh most Shots Against (1789) throughout the NHL.
