Lagesson has picked up two assists in 11 games with Bakersfield this season. With Darnell Nurse and slater Koekkoek both landing on IR after getting hurt on Thursday, Lagesson and Philip Broberg have been recalled to take their spots on the roster.
Larkin was pulled from Tuesday's game after what has been determined as a false positive COVID-19 test. Larkin met the team in Vegas after clearing COVID-19 protocol and is expected to play on Thursday.
Simek will be replaced by Santeri Hatakka on a third pairing on Tuesday. It sounded like it came down to the wire between Simek and Marc-Edouard Vlasic, but ultimately the Sharks elected to stay with the higher-paid veteran.
Compher suffered an upper-body injury early in Saturday's game vs. the Sharks. He is expected to miss at least one month, with leaves the Avalanche without Nathan MacKinnon and Compher down the middle. With both of them out, Mikko Rantanen moved to centre in Monday's practice with Logan O'Connor moving up to RW1.
With Mitchell Stephens landing on IR with a lower-body injury, Veleno has been recalled for the Red Wings' four-game road trip. Veleno has one goal and one assist in four games with the Red Wings this season and three goals in seven AHL games.
Simek has missed the last six games while on the COVID-19 reserve list but should be back in the lineup on Saturday. With Simek back, Nicolas Meloche was reassigned to the AHL.
Raymond missed Wednesday's practice and his status for Thursday's game vs. the Capitals is uncertain. Monitor his availability when the Red Wings hit the ice for warmups at 7:00 PM ET.
