Markstrom will start Thursday vs. the Golden Knights.

Markstrom allowed two goals on 25 shots in the Canucks overtime loss to the Kings on Tuesday. In his last eight starts, Markstrom has gone 1-5-2 with a 3.26 GAA and .900 SV%. Things don’t get any easier with the Golden Knights in town. Vegas is heating up and come in having won four in a row while averaging 4.75 goals for per game.

Allen will start Wednesday in Detroit.

Allen stopped nine of 11 shots after replacing Chad Johnson in the Blues 8-4 loss to the Jets on Saturday. Allen has had some struggles this season but has been much better as of late. In his last five starts, Allen has gone 2-3-0 despite posting an impressive 1.62 GAA and .942 SV%. Detroit caught fire for a bit but come into Wednesday having lost three in a row.

Markstrom will start against the Kings on Saturday.

Having lost his last six starts, Markstrom is looking for his first win since November 8th. He allowed four goals on 37 shots in a 4-3 loss to the Ducks on Wednesday. His SV% has dipped to .896 on the season and his GAA has ballooned to 3.42. Fortunately for Markstrom, he has a good chance of getting back on track tonight against the lowly Kings.

Bernier will start Friday in Washington.

Bernier stopped 38 of 40 shots in the Red Wings overtime win in New Jersey last Saturday. Bernier has won three of his last four while posting a 2.67 GAA and .933 SV%. Bernier has started to turn things around after a rough start to his career in Detroit, but has a tough road matchup in Washington.

Markstrom will start Wednesday in Anaheim.

Markstrom allowed five goals on 48 shots in the Canucks loss to the Jets on Monday. Despite losing five in a row and Anders Nilsson returning from injury tonight, the Canucks will stick with Markstrom in Anaheim. The 28-year-old has allowed 18 goals on the last 177 shots (.898 SV%) he faced in those five games.

Allen will start Wednesday in Nashville.

Allen stopped 25 of 26 shots in the Blues 2-0 loss to the Kings on Monday. Allen has had his fair share of struggles so far this season, but has allowed just three goals on 78 shots (.962 SV%) in his last three starts. Allen’s play is improving, but he has a terrible matchup tonight in Nashville.

Hischier (hand) is expected to return to the Devils lineup on Wednesday.

Hischier has missed the last four games with what he said was a hand injury on Tuesday. Hischier will likely be re-united with Taylor Hall on the Devils top-line vs. Montreal on Wednesday. He has 12 points (3G / 9A) in 15 games so far this season.

Markstrom allowed three goals on 31 shots in the Canucks loss to the Canadiens on Saturday. Markstrom’s losing streak has hit four games, allowing a combined 13 goals on 129 shots (.899 SV%). He has a terrible matchup with the Jets in town, but is 5-2-0 in seven starts at Rogers Arena.

Allen stopped 32 of 33 shots in the Blues win in Vegas last Friday. Allen has had some struggles this season, but he has stopped 50 of the last 52 shots (.962 SV%) that he’s faced coming into Monday. Tonight he faces a Kings team that has lost four of their last five and will be playing their third game in four nights.
