Cal Petersen will draw his second start in three games after stopping 32 of 35 shots in a 4-3 victory over Nashville earlier Monday. After conceding the first two games of the season to Jonathan Quick in Kings' losses, Petersen will have started three of the last four games struggling with a 2-0-0 record off a high 4.32 GAA and low .866 SV%. He takes on a Penguins team that has a point in all three games with six goals being scored in two of those outings.
Sedlak came back to North American after three years in the KHL and was a plus-1 in his first three games with the Avalanche. He was waived on Tuesday and is headed to Philadelphia after being claimed on Wednesday. Sedlak will likely replace Jackson Cates in the Flyers' bottom-6 moving forward.
Megna will be replacing Lukas Sedlak; who was placed on waivers Tuesday; as the Avalnches' fourth-line centre. Across eight NHL seasons, Megna has 10 goals and 25 points in 148 career games while playing for four different teams.
