Twarysnki has split his campaign between the NHL and AHL, failing to record a point in six NHL games or two AHL games. Twarysnki will replace Kevin Hayes, who has no goals and three assists in his last 15 games.

Schultz has missed the last three games but will be back in the lineup on Thursday. Schultz skated on the top pairing in the morning skate because John Carlson is a game-time decision with a lower-body injury of his own.

Schultz was not on the ice for Tuesday's morning skate and will not play tonight vs. the Islanders. With Schultz still out, Trevor van Riemsdyk will remain in the lineup.



Schultz was knocked out of Sunday's game early in the first period and did not travel to Brooklyn for Thursday's game. Zdeno Chara is expected to return to the lineup to replace Schultz.


Twarynski was promoted to the active roster to replace Tanner Laczynski in the lineup on Saturday. Twarynski has no points in four NHL games or two AHL games in 2021.



Stephens, who had one assist in four games with the Lightning earlier in the season, tore it up with Syracuse (AHL) during his conditioning stint--scoring one goal with seven assists (eight points) in four games. He will skate on the fourth line with Ross Colton and Pat Maroon.


Montour is in the final year of his contract that carries a $3.85M AAV cap-hit. Montour will help fill a void on the left-side that was created when they lost Aaron Ekblad for the season. The 27-year-old has scored five goals with nine assists, 72 shots, 53 blocks and 35 hits in 38 games with the Sabres this season.
