Carlson suffered a lower-body injury on Saturday and will not be available for Monday's game vs. the Hurricanes. Dmitry Orlov will move up to PP1 and Matt Irwin will make his season debut to replace Carlson.

Vrana will be out indefinitely as he enters the NHL/NHLPA Assistance Program. The seven-year veteran was enjoying a strong start to his season, collecting two points (1G/1A) through his first two games to start 2022-23. The Red Wings will hope to have him back in their lineup sooner rather than later as he is an integral part of their top six.
Vrana will miss Monday's game vs. the Kings for personal reasons, so look for Joe Veleno to draw back into the lineup to replace him. Filip Zadina will skate on the second line with Vrana out.
Milano was with Calgary on a PTO in the pre-season but did not earn a contract. After signing with the Capitals, Milano went on waivers and will be assigned to Hershey (AHL) if he clears on Monday. Milano scored 14 goals with 20 assists (34 points) in 66 games with the Ducks a season ago.
