Coreau will start Thursday in Los Angeles.

Coreau allowed five goals on 28 shots in the Red Wings’ overtime loss to the Maple Leafs in the Centennial Classic on New Year’s Day. The 25-year-old netminder has gone 2-1-1 with a 3.43 GAA and .889 SV% in his first four career NHL games. The team in front of him isn’t very good and tonight faces a Kings team that is 11-4-1 on home-ice this season.

Jones will start Thursday vs. the Wild.

Jones allowed two goals on 35 shots in the Sharks’ loss to the Kings on Tuesday. Jones lost back-to-back starts to the Kings, while allowing a combined five goals on 62 shots (.919 SV%). Tonight he’s back on home ice, where he has a 10-4-1 record, 1.67 GAA and .932 SV% on the year to take on a Wild team that is seventh in the NHL and sits at 10-5-4 on the road.

Dubnyk will start Thursday in San Jose.

Dubnyk allowed four goals on 25 shots in the Wild’s loss to the Blue Jackets on New Year’s Eve. The loss snapped a 10-game personal winning streak for Dubnyk, who will make his 30th start tonight in San Jose. Dubnyk continues to lead the NHL in GAA (1.75) and SV% (.941), so he is a must-start whenever he gets the nod.

Zatkoff was the first goalie off of the ice.

Zatkoff allowed three goals on 31 shots in the Kings loss in Dallas on December 23rd. Zatkoff has started six games and has made three relief appearances, going 2-5-1 with a 2.83 GAA and .892 SV% overall. Tonight he’ll make his second start of the season vs. Detroit—he stopped 17 of 18 shots in a 4-1 win over December 15th.

Nilsson will start Thursday in Chicago.

Nilsson allowed one goal on 25 shots in the Sabres’ win in New York on Tuesday. It was the second time this season that Nilsson beat the Rangers and earned him a second straight start tonight in Chicago. The Blackhawks are a tough 13-4-4 on home-ice and Nilsson is 2-2-2 with a 2.74 GAA and .912 SV% on the road.

Ward allowed two goals on 17 shots in the Hurricanes’ loss to the Devils on Tuesday. It was an uneventful night for Ward, who has lost three of his last four while posting a 2.58 GAA and .897 SV%. He draws a terrible matchup tonight tin St. Louis. The Blues are great on home ice and Ward is 4-8-5 with a 2.56 GAA and .908 SV% on the road.

He will look to continue the streak tonight in Washington—he has gone 2-0-0 with a 1.49 GAA and .930 SV% in his first two games vs. the Capitals.
