Vasilevskiy gave up five goals on 38 shots in the Lightning’s loss in Columbus on Tuesday. It was a rough outing for Vasilevskiy, who didn’t get a lot of help from his teammates. Vasilevskiy will start for the second straight game and comes in with a 3-2-0 record, 1.82 GAA and .942 SV% on the road this season.
Smith allowed two goals on 42 shots i the Coyotes’ loss in San Jose on Tuesday. The loss snapped a brief two-game winning streak for Smith, who has gone 3-1-2 with a 2.33 GAA and .936 SV% in six starts since returning to the crease. Tonight he faces a Kings team that is coming off of a disappointing loss to San Jose last night.
Talbot was yanked after he allowed four goals on 14 shots in the Oilers’ loss to the Maple Leafs on Tuesday. Talbot has lost his last three starts while giving up eight goals on 78 shots (.897 SV%). He’ll start in Winnipeg vs. a Jets team that has won their last two—Talbot is 6-3-2 with a 2.51 GAA and .919 SV% on the road.
Schneider allowed three goals on 29 shots in the Devils’ loss in Winnipeg on Tuesday. Schneider has lost four of his last five starts while posting an un-Schneider-like 3.58 GAA and .874 SV%. He will be in tough tonight against a Blackhawks team that is 11th in the NHL in scoring with 2.75 goals per game.
Ward allowed three goals on 21 shots in the Hurricanes’ loss in New York on Tuesday. It was a tough outing against a good New York team, but Ward has played very well as of late and will be back in net tonight in Boston. Ward has gone 2-5-3 with a 2.57 GAA and .904 SV% in 10 games on the road this season.

Kalinin has just one assist in 17 games this season and luckily for the Devils it looks like they’ll get Taylor Hall back in the lineup tonight in Chicago. Kalinin is day-to-day.
Toews will miss his his fourth straight game with an upper-body injury and he is listed as doubtful for Saturday’s game. So, don’t expect to see Toews back in the lineup until Sunday at the earliest.
Allen allowed three goals on 21 shots in the Blues’ win over the Stars on Monday. Allen has won six straight games while posting a rock-solid 1.95 GAA and .933 SV%. As impressive as those numbers are, his numbers on home-ice are even better—the 26-year-old is 8-0-2 with a 1.57 GAA and .940 SV% at the Scottrade Center this season.
Clendening has been a healthy scratch for 11 straight games, but tonight he will replace Kevin Klein in the lineup on Thursday. Clendening will play with Brady Skjei at even strength and on the second power-play unit.
Klein has just six assists in 21 games this season and has struggled over the last few games, so he will be replaced by Adam Clendening in the lineup tonight.
Steen has missed the last six games with an upper-body injury, but will be back in the lineup tonight vs. the Lightning. Steen has picked up 10 points (2G / 8A) in 17 games this season and tonight he will skate in between Vladimir Tarasenko and Robby Fabbri.
Mrazek allowed one goal on 35 shots in the Red Wings’ win over the Stars on Tuesday. It was a great and much-needed game for Mrazek, who has now stopped 56 of the last 59 shots that he has faced (.949 SV%). Tonight he will face the Panthers for the third time this season—he is 0-2-0 with a 4.98 GAA and .851 SV% in the first two meetings.
Lundqvist allowed two goals on 28 shots in the Rangers’ win over the Hurricanes on Tuesday. After a three-game losing streak, Lundqvist has won his last two, which gives him 11 in 18 games so far this season. Lundqvist will start in Buffalo—he has gone 4-3-0 with a 2.31 GAA and .922 SV% outside of Madison Square Garden this year.
Crawford stopped 38 of 39 shots in the Blackhawks’ shootout win over the Panthers on Tuesday. Crawford has won his last two starts while stopping 72 of 75 shots (.960 SV%). Tonight he takes on the Devils for the second time this season—he stopped 30 of 32 shots in a 3-2 OT win in their first meeting.
