Hudon was injured in a practice session on Friday and did not travel to Detroit with the team for Saturday’s game. Hudon has collected two assists in three games this season and is expected to be replaced by Daniel Carr in the lineup.
Howard left early in the first period of Friday’s overtime win in New Jersey. Head coach Jeff Blashill said right after the game that he would miss at least one week and be placed on IR. With Howard out, Petr Mrazek claims the No.1 job back and Jared Coreau will come up from Grand Rapids (AHL).
