Talbot is expected to start Saturday in Dallas.

Talbot allowed four goals on 27 shots in the Oilers’ loss in Anaheim on Tuesday. Jonas Gustavsson started on Thursday, so Talbot is expected to start tonight in Dallas. Talbot has lost four straight games while posting a 3.59 GAA and .878 SV%. He is struggling and tonight he faces a Stars team that is getting healthy.

Markstrom will start Saturday vs. the Blackhawks.

Markstrom allowed two goals on 36 shots in the Canucks win over the Coyotes on Thursday. Markstrom has gone 2-2-0 with a 3.17 GAA and .883 SV% in four games in November. Despite a winning record on home-ice this season (4-2-0), Markstrom is giving up nearly 3.00 goals per game at Rogers Arena and is a risky start vs. Chicago.

Jacob Markstrom
Rinne will start Saturday in St. Louis.

Rinne allowed one goal on 31 shots in the Predators’ win in Ottawa on Thursday. Rinne has won his last four straight games while posting an impressive 0.75 GAA, .974 SV% and one shutout. Rinne is red-hot and tonight he faces a Blues team that has won two straight, but rank 20th in the NHL in scoring (2.44 G/PG).

Pekka Rinne
Pickard will start Saturday in Minnesota.

Pickard allowed four goals on 25 shots in Colorado’s loss to Arizona on November 8th. Semyon Varlamov started the last four games, but Pickard will face the Wild for the second time this season. In their last meeting, Pickard stopped all 32 shots that he faced in a 1-0 shutout win.

The Oilers have activated Matt Hendricks (lower-body) from IR; he’s expected to make his season debut on Saturday.

Hendricks has missed the first 18 games of the season because of a preseason lower-body injury, but he’ll get into the lineup tonight in Dallas. He is merely a fourth liner, who carries limited to no fantasy value.

The Oilers have activated Kris Russell (undisclosed) from IR; expected to play on Saturday.

Russell has missed the last seven games with an undisclosed injury, but he is expected to draw back into the lineup tonight in Dallas. Russell finished last year with the Stars, so he is probably excited to be back in the lineup for this particular game. He has three assists in 11 games with the Oilers so far.

The Oilers have activated Drake Caggiula (hip) from IR; will make his NHL debut on Saturday.

Caggiula has missed the first 18 games of the season because of a hip injury, but will draw into the lineup on Saturday. The 22-year-old forward is coming off of a season in which he collected 51 points (25G / 25A) in 39 games at the University of North Dakota.

Drake Caggiula
Duchene (concussion) will not play on Saturday.

Duchene will miss his fourth straight game because of a concussion. Duchene appeared to be getting close when he skated earlier the week, but he is not quite there. The Avs’ next game is on Monday, so monitor his status that morning.

Matt Duchene
Smith will start Saturday vs. the Sharks.

Smith gave up two goals on 24 shots in the Coyotes’ loss in Calgary on Wednesday. It was a strong return to the crease for Smith, who missed 12 games with a lower-body injury. Tonight he faces a Sharks team that has surprisingly struggled this season—they come in ranked 25th in the NHL in scoring (2.29 G/PG).
