Schneider was the first goalie off of the ice for the Devils; expected to start.

Schneider turned aside 28 of 29 shots in the Devils overtime win over the Wild on Saturday. Schneider has won two of his first five games while posting a 1.80 GAA and .943 SV%. This is exactly what we’ve come to expect out of Schneider over the years—elite splits, but a limited number of wins thanks to an anemic Devils’ offence. They’ve tallied just eight goals in front of him this season.

Cory Schneider
Zatkoff is expected to miss one week with a groin injury.

Zatkoff suffered a groin injury during Saturday’s practice and is expected to miss one week. With Zatkoff out, Peter Budaj and Jack Campbell will serve as the Kings’ goaltending duo.

Jeff Zatkoff
The Bruins have recalled Zane McIntyre from Providence (AHL).

The Bruins are down two goalies with both Tuukka Rask and Anton Khudobin battling injuries, so McIntyre has been recalled and is expected to back-up Malcolm Subban, who was recalled on Monday. McIntyre is 1-0-0 with a 0.44 GAA and .977 SV% in three AHL appearances this season.

Zane McIntyre
Lindback is expected to join the Kings organization.

The Kings would be Lindback’s fifth team in four years. He has played for the Lightning, Stars, Sabres and Coyotes over the last three years and he went 5-7-1 with a 3.11 GAA and .894 SV% in 19 games with Arizona last year. With Jonathan Quick out, the Kings are desperately searching for some help in net.

Anders Lindback
Skinner missed Monday’s practice and is questionable for Tuesday’s game in Detroit.

Skinner did not appear to be hurt in Saturday’s loss to the Flyers, but he was mixed up in a fight with Wayne Simmonds. Head coach Bill Peters said that Skinner is not concussed thinks “he’s OK.” Skinner’s availability for Tuesday’s game remains up in the air so monitor his status during the Hurricanes’ gameday skate.

Jeff Skinner
Anderson will start Tuesday in Vancouver.

Anderson allowed four goals on 35 shots in the Senators’ 4-1 loss to the Lightning on Saturday. The loss snapped his three-game winning streak, but it has not been a banner start to the year for Anderson. The veteran netminder has allowed at least three goals in every start, posting a 3.66 GAA and .886 SV%. Tonight he faces the Canucks who come in at 4-1-1.

Craig Anderson
Bobrovsky will make his fifth straight start on Tuesday.

Bobrovsky stopped all 32 shots in the Blue Jackets’ 3-0 shutout win over the Stars on Saturday. Bobrovsky lost his first two starts of the season, but won on back-to-back nights over the weekend, stopping 64 of 66 shots (.970 SV%). Tonight he gets a solid matchup in Los Angeles—the Kings come in at 2-3-0 while averaging 2.60 goals per game.

Sergei Bobrovsky
Elliott will start Monday in Chicago.

Elliott allowed four goals on 32 shots in the Flames loss to the Hurricanes. Chad Johnson has started three of the last four games, but they’ll go back to Elliott tonight. Elliott is winless with a 4.72 GAA and .839 SV% in his first three starts in a Flames uniform. Tonight he will face a Blackhawks team that is 3-3-0 while averaging 3.67 goals per game so far.

Brian Elliott
Spezza (undisclosed) left Monday’s practice; questionable for Tuesday’s game.

Spezza, who has three points (2G / 1A) in five games, was hurt in Monday’s practice session and could miss Tuesday’s game vs. the Jets. If Spezza can’t play, expect the Stars to recall a forward from Texas (AHL).

Jason Spezza
Hutton will start Tuesday vs. the Flames.

Hutton allowed two goals on 35 shots in the Blues win over the Rangers on October 15th. It was a rock-solid Blues debut for Hutton, who will make his second start of the year vs. Calgary. The Flames are averaging 3.00 goals per game through the first week and a half, but Hutton still makes for a strong spot-start.

Carter Hutton
Hemsky (groin) will not play on Tuesday.

Hemsky missed the first four games of the season with a groin injury, but made his season debut on Saturday. He must have re-aggravated the injury and will not be available for Tuesday’s game. Look for Dallas to recall a forward from Texas (AHL).

Ales Hemsky
Crosby (concussion) was a full-participant in Monday’s practice; not ruled out of Tuesday’s game.

Crosby was cleared for contact on Monday and finished the practice with no limitations. It was a great sign that Crosby is nearing his season debut and head coach Mike Sullivan did not rule Crosby out of Tuesday’s game vs. Florida—he remains day-to-day.

Sidney Crosby
Khudobin left Monday’s practice with an undisclosed injury.

The Bruins are already without Tuukka Rask, so an injury to Khudobin would leave the Bruins with a goaltending tandem of Malcolm Subban and Zane McIntyre. Head coach Claude Julien did not have an update on Khudobin’s status, so there’s no word on who will be available or who will start on Tuesday.

Anton Khudobin
The Senators have sent Phil Varone to Binghamton (AHL).

Varone, 25, did not record a point in three games and has been sent to Binghamton, where he had 23 points (6G / 17A) in 21 games a season ago. With Varone back in the AHL, Matt Puempel will likely get into the lineup or Thomas Chabot will play as a seventh defenseman.

Phil Varone
Nilsson will start his first game of the season on Tuesday.

The Sabres’ No.1 netminder Robin Lehner will not be available on Tuesday because of an illness, so Nilsson will make his Sabres’ debut vs. the Flyers on Tuesday. Last year, Nilsson was 10-13-2 with a 3.12 GAA and .901 SV% with the Oilers and Blues last year and draws a tough matchup against a Flyers team who is averaging more than 3.00 goals per game.

Anders Nilsson
McQuaid (upper-body) has bee cleared to play; expected to be in the lineup on Tuesday.

McQuaid has missed the first five games with an upper-body injury, but has been practicing for nearly one week and has been cleared to return to the lineup tomorrow. Look for McQuaid to play on the second pair with Torey Krug.
