The Red Wings have recalled Jimmy Howard from Grand Rapids (AHL).

Howard’s conditioning stint stopping 31 of 33 shots in a 5-2 win over Texas on Saturday and posted a 21-save shutout against San Antonio on Tuesday. Howard’s conditioning stint was a success and he should start Friday vs. Chicago or Sunday vs. the Rangers.

Gibson (lower-body) is expected to travel on the Ducks’ two-game road trip.

Gibson has missed the last five games with a lower-body injury, but he will travel for the Ducks’ back-to-back in Chicago and St. Louis. This is a pretty good indication that he will start one of the games, so monitor his status tomorrow afternoon.

Pickard will start Thursday vs. the Devils.

Pickard stopped 25 of 26 shots in Colorado’s win over the Hurricanes’ on Tuesday. It was a great outing for a struggling netminder, who will make his second straight start tonight vs. the Devils. Pickard is 5-9-2 with a 2.79 GAA and .909 SV% at the Pepsi Center this season and New Jersey is 12-16-6 on the road.

Elliott will start Thursday vs. the Canadiens.

Elliott turned aside 33 of 35 shots in the Flames’ win over the Islanders on Sunday. Elliott and the Flames are red-hot heading into tonight’s matchup with Carey Price and the Canadiens. Elliott has won six straight starts while posting an impressive 2.13 GAA and .931 SV%. However, Montreal come in riding a six-game winning streak of their own.

Turris (finger) will not play Wednesday in Dallas.

Turris will not play tonight and could miss up to three games. With Turris sidelined Chris DiDomenico is expected to make his Senators’ debut. Turris being unavailable tonight suggests that he also won’t play tomorrow in Arizona.

Anderson will start Wednesday in Dallas.

Anderson allowed two goals on 27 shots in the Senators’ win over the Bruins on Monday. Anderson has won four in a row while allowing just six combined goals on 115 shots (.948 SV%). Anderson has been excellent since returning to the Senators crease and comes into Wednesday with an 8-3-0 record, 2.10 GAA And .941 SV% on the road.

Murray will start Wednesday in Winnipeg.

Murray gave up three goals on 21 shots in the Penguins’ loss to the Sabres on Sunday. He has dropped two of his last three starts while allowing a combined eight goals on 82 shots (.902 SV%). Murray has not faced the Jets in 2016-17, but has gone 10-6-1 with a 2.29 GAA and .922 SV% in 18 road games this season.

Hellebuyck will start Wednesday vs. the Penguins.

Hellebuyck allowed two goals on 29 shots in the Jets’ loss to San Jose on Monday. Hellebuyck has gone 2-1-0 while stopping 78 of 81 shots (.963 SV%). Hellebuyck has gone 13-8-1 with a 2.42 GAA and .921 SV% on home ice this season and tonight he’ll face the Penguins for the second time—he allowed four goals on 39 shots in a 4-3 OT loss in the first.

Lehtonen will make his third straight start on Wednesday.

Lehtonen stopped 42 of 44 shots in the Stars’ win in Washington on Monday. Lehtonen has been excellent lately, stopping 83 of 86 shots (.965 SV%) to earn back-to-back road victories. Lehtonen will try and make it three in a row against a Senators team that has won three straight—Lehtonen allowed two goals on 26 shots in a 3-2 loss in Ottawa in their first meeting.

Prince left Tuesday’s game with a lower-body injury and did not return.

Prince played just 6:34 TOI before exiting Tuesday’s contest with a lower-body injury. Prince recently returned from an upper-body injury and it looks like he could find himself back on the shelf. Prince is expected to return to New York for further evaluation, which suggests he will miss at least the next two or three games.

The Penguins have recalled Tom Sestito from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (AHL).

The Penguins are in Winnipeg to take on a heavy Jets team, so Sestito has been recalled and will likely draw in on the fourth line. The 6-foot-5, 228 lbs. winger has one assist and 24 PIMS in eight games with the Penguins this season. The 29-year-old has 16 points (6G / 10A) in 33 games with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton.
