Tolvanen, 18, was the No.30 overall pick in last summer’s draft and joins the Predators after one year in the KHL. Tolvanen scored 21 goals with 17 assists (38 points) in 51 games with Jokerit—adding three goals in four playoff games. The rookie winger is expected to skate on the Predators top line with Ryan Johansen and Viktor Arvidsson.

Brassard did not take part in the Penguins’ morning skate and will miss his second straight game with a lower-body injury. With Brassard out, Riley Sheahan will continue to skate on the third line.

Lyon went back to the AHL with Michal Neuvirth returning to the crease on Thursday. Neuvirth was re-injured almost immediately, so Lyon returns to backup Petr Mrazek.

Neuvirth stopped 10 of 11 shots before leaving the Flyers win in Colorado on Wednesday. Neuvirth’s health didn’t last long, getting hurt in his first game back. Alex Lyon was recalled to take Neuvirth’s spot on the roster.

Malgin is dealing with a minor injury, so he will not play in Boston. Michael Haley will draw back into the lineup to replace Malgin.

Vatrano is dinged up so he will come out of the lineup this afternoon. This is a tough break for Vatrano, who will miss an opportunity to face his former team in Boston. The injury is believed to be minor so look for him to be back in on Monday.

Fleury allowed three goals on 32 shots in the Golden Knights loss to the Coyotes on Wednesday. He was given last night off, so he is expected to go tonight vs. the Sharks. The veteran is 15-8-2 with a 2.37 GAA and .921 SV% on home ice this season.

Murray allowed three goals on 31 shots in the Penguins win in New Jersey on Thursday. It has been a struggle for Murray since returning to the Penguins crease in late-March—the 23-year-old is 2-2-1 with a 3.61 GAA and .897 SV%. Despite the struggles, the Penguins need a win and he has a nice matchup to do so.

Butler has not recorded a point in two games with the Blues, but has 29 points (8G / 21A) in 60 games with the Rampage. There’s no word on whether or not he will draw into the lineup on Saturday.

McElhinney stopped all 33 shots that he faced in the Maple Leafs shutout win over the Canadiens on March 17th. McElhinney has gone 3-0-0 with a 1.32 GAA, .959 SV% and one shutout in March. As good as he has been this season, he is in tough tonight with the Jets in town.

Kinkaid allowed four goals on 35 shots the Devils loss to the Penguins on Thursday. The loss snapped a three-game winning streak for Kinkaid, who will start his 35th game of the season tonight. He is 2-0-0 with a 1.00 GAA and .965 SV% in two games against the Islanders this season.
