Lack will start Tuesday in Boston.

Lack stopped all 27 shots that he faced after replacing the injured Ryan Miller in Sunday’s shutout win over the Islanders. With Miller out indefinitely, Willie Desjardins said that is “Lack’s team”. Tonight he starts in Boston—Lack has gone 3-3-1 with a 2.65 GAA and .920 SV% on the road this season.

Ward is the Hurricanes confirmed starter.

Ward allowed one goal on 24 shots in the Hurricanes 2-1 win over the Maple Leafs on Friday. He has won four of his last five, while posting a 2.18 GAA and .915 SV%. He appears to have reclaimed his spot atop the Hurricanes depth chart and will look to earn a second win in as many tries vs. the Flyers.

Smith gets the start vs. the Islanders.

Smith allowed two goals on 27 shots in the Coyotes 3-0 loss to the Devils last night. He will start both games of a back-to-back for the sixth time this season—he has gone 0-4-1 with a 2.99 GAA and .903 SV% on the second night. He starts against an Islanders team who sit fourth in the NHL in scoring (3.08 G/PG).

Hutchinson gets the nod on Tuesday vs. Dallas.

Hutchinson allowed four goals on 33 shots in the Jets 4-3 OT loss to the Maple Leafs on Saturday. Things really have not gone Hutchinson’s way since the All Star break—he has delivered a 3-3-2 record with a 3.46 GAA and .874 SV% over that stretch. Tonight he takes on the Stars, who he is 1-1-0 with a 3.57 GAA and .883 SV% against this year.

Wisniewski will be back in the Blue Jackets lineup on Tuesday.

Wisniewski was a healthy scratch on Sunday, but will be back in the lineup tonight vs. Buffalo. Coach Todd Richards was not happy with Wisniewski’s recent performances, but he will get back in with a great matchup. He has seven goals and 20 assists (27 points) in 52 games.

James Wisniewski
Rask was the first goalie off of the ice for the Bruins.

Rask allowed two goals on 28 shots in the Bruins 6-2 win over the Blackhawks on Sunday. That win was long overdue for Rask, who has just two wins in February (2-4-2). Rask allowed four goals on 24 shots in a 5-2 loss to the Canucks earlier this month.

Tuukka Rask
Forsberg was in the starter's crease at the Blue Jackets morning skate.

Forsberg allowed six goals on 46 shots in the Blue Jackets 6-3 loss on Long Island on February 14th. Curtis McElhinney has started the last four games, but they will get Forsberg in tonight vs. the Sabres. Forsberg has a good shot to earn his first career NHL victory.

Anton Forsberg
Johnson gets the nod vs. the Coyotes.

Johnson allowed two goals on 27 shots in the Islanders loss in Washington on Saturday. Despite stopping 96 of 101 shots (.951 SV%) that he has faced in his last three outings, he has gone 1-1-1. He should make for a great spot-start against a Coyotes team who have lost eight of their last nine games.

The Ducks have acquired Jiri Sekac from the Canadiens for Devante Smith-Pelly.

Sekac, 22, was a healthy scratch in two of the last five games and has totalled just 16 points (7G / 9A) in 50 games this season. He is very skilled and his fantasy stock could be on the rise if he lands in the Ducks top-6.

The Canadiens have acquired Devante Smith-Pelly from Anaheim for Jiri Sekac.

Smith-Pelly was a second round pick (42nd overall) in 2010. He is a big body at 6-foot, 220 lbs. so he definitely brings some size up front for the Canadiens. In 54 games this season, he has recorded five goals and 12 assists (17 points).

The Maple Leafs have recalled Brandon Kozun from Toronto (AHL) on an emergency basis.

Kozun was just sent down, but has already been brought back up because Phil Kessel is not skating for a second straight day and Nazem Kadri missed practice today because of an illness.
