The Flyers placed Brandon Manning on IR this morning, so Brennan comes up to take his spot on the roster. The 28-year-old continues to be a force in the AHL, collecting 15 points (2G / 13A) in 17 games with the Phantoms this season. Neuvirth has not started since November 28th, so he must have suffered the injury at practice this week. Going to IR means that Neuvirth has to miss at least two games and Alex Lyon was recalled from Lehigh Valley (AHL) to serve as Brian Elliott’s backup for the time being.

It’s unclear when Manning sustained the injury, but you have to figure that it happened Monday in Calgary. His move to IR means that he will miss at least two games and TJ Brennan has been recalled from Lehigh Valley (AHL) to take his place on the roster.
