Mason allowed two goals on 27 shots in the Flyers 2-1 loss to the Sharks last night. The game-winner came with just 12 seconds left in the game, a heart-breaking fourth straight loss for Mason. He shouldn’t really been considered a four-game skid considering one came in the shootout after a 46-save shutout—he has a 2.22 GAA and .928 SV% over than span.
Pitlick was a plus-1 and had one shot in 9:57 TOI in his season debut on Monday. In 14 games in Oklahoma City (AHL), Pitlickhad three goals and six assists. He could have some value in daily fantasy leagues, but the way things are going for the Oilers right now, I wouldn’t have too much faith.
Ramo stopped 27 of 29 shots in the Flames 5-2 win over the Coyotes on Tuesday. Ramo is on fire right now, he has allowed just two goals in his last three games and has won six consecutive starts with a 2.15 GAA and .926 SV%. Tonight he faces an Avalanche team who has averaged 3.60 goals per game in their last five.
Anderson allowed three goals on 28 shots in the Sens 3-2 OT loss to the Islanders on Tuesday. The loss was Anderson’s 10th of the season, but fourth in extra time, making his 5-5-4 with a 2.46 GAA and .930 SV% on the year. Tonight he gets another shot at the Isles, this time at home where he is 3-0-2.
Raymond missed his 16th straight game on Tuesday, but skated on a regular line in practice today. Despite that he still isn't available for tomorrow but is definitely getting close. Monitor his status leading up to Sunday's game.
Wilson was injured in his NHL debut on Tuesday. His injury means that the is probably heading back to the AHL and another forward will be recalled with Chris Kunitz (foot) sidelined.
Bouwmeester will miss his fifth consecutive game with a groin injury when the Blues take on the Blackhawks tonight. The Blues had three days off in between games and Bouwmeester had been practicing, so it looked like he would be back in the lineup tonight, but he will sit at least one more game. The Blues play again tomorrow so monitor Bouwmeester’s status.
Scrivens gave up four goals on 41 shots in the Oilers loss to the Blues last Friday. Scrivens has a personal nine-game losing streak and the Oilers have lost each of their last 10. He has a 3.38 GAA and .888 SV% in 17 games this season, but even with a decent matchup tonight, Scrivens can’t be trusted until things start trending in a positive direction for Edmonton.
Stoner has missed the last five games with a case of the mumps. His return is perfectly timed, because the Ducks found out today that Eric Brewer will be missing 4-6 weeks with a broken bone in his foot.
Bryzgalov was originally drafted by the Ducks back in 2000. He spent six an a half years in Anaheim before moving on to Phoenix, Phildelphia, Edmonton and Minnesota. Last year he went 12-9-8 with a 2.68 GAA and .909 SV%. He has been brought in because John Gibson is on IR likely until Christmas and Jason LaBarbera will miss 2-3 weeks with a broken bone in his hand.
There is no word on how LaBarbera suffered the injury, but it happened on Saturday vs. the Sharks. With LaBarbera out and John Gibson still on IR, the Ducks have brought in Ilya Bryzgalov on a tryout.
Brewer was acquired from Tampa Bay on November 28th and played just two games with the Ducks. He broke the bone in his foot in Monday’s win over the Bruins. Thankfully for the Ducks, Clayton Stoner is ready to return tonight after missing action with the mumps.
McCormick has missed the last four games with a concussion, but returns tomorrow vs. the Lightning. His return means Tim Schaller goes back to the AHL.
Schaller failed to record a point in two games during his recall. Being sent back to the AHL means that Cody McCormick will be ready to go on Thursday in Tampa Bay.
Green will miss his fifth straight game with an upper-body injury. Since he can’t go on Thursday the next game he would be able to return is Saturday in New Jersey.
Knight appeared in two games during his recall but served as a healthy scratch in each of the Flames last three games. With Matt Stajan ready to return from a knee injury, Knight had to be sent back to the AHL.
Crawford’s injury was announced on Tuesday, but he confirmed this afternoon that he will miss 2-3 weeks with a lower-body injury that he suffered off-ice. With Crawford out, Antti Raanta presumably becomes the starter, unless he is outplayed by Scott Darling again. Crawford will be back in mid-to-late December.
The Stars have placed Anders Lindback on waivers and recalled Rynnas to be Kari Lehtonen’s backup. Rynnas has posted a 5-1-4 record with a 2.58 GAA and .913 SV% in Texas. He has three career NHL appearances.
McKenzie, 23, has registered three goals and three assists in seven games with Texas this season. In nine games with the Stars he has just one goal.
