Brodin (lower-body) will be shut down for the Olympics.

Brodin has already missed seven games this season due to injuries and is inline to miss at least the next two and a half weeks before the NHL shuts down for the Olympic Break. The 32-year-old Brodin is averaging 21:20 time-on-ice and has 15 points (3G / 12A) in 42 games this season.

Jiricek will be a healthy scratch in Montreal on Tuesday.

David Spacek will draw back into Minnesota's lineup on Tuesday against the Montreal Canadiens, sending Jiricek to the press box as a healthy scratch. The 22-year-old Jiricek is averaging 12:01 time-on-ice and is still searching for his first point through 20 games this season.

Wallstedt will start in Montreal on Tuesday.

After an otherworldly six-week run in which he posted an outstanding 1.74 GAA and .949 SV% in 11 games (9-2-0), Wallstedt has seen a significant decline in his performance. The 23-year-old Swedish goalie has a concerning 3.81 GAA and .864 SV% in his last six games (2-2-2). Minnesota enters the action on Tuesday as +118 road underdogs against a Montreal Canadiens team that has lost two of its last three games (1-1-1).

Howden (lower-body) has been placed on IR.

Howden has been productive in primarily a bottom-six role for the Golden Knights this season, scoring 15 points (9G / 6A) in 39 games. That said, he will be sidelined for at least a week because of a lower-body injury. Jonas Rondbjerg was recalled from Henderson (AHL) in a corresponding move.

Chernyshov will be a healthy scratch in Tampa Bay on Tuesday.

Adam Gaudette will draw back into San Jose's lineup on Tuesday against the Tampa Bay Lightning, sending Chernyshov to the sidelines as a healthy scratch. Chernyshov has been solid since making his NHL debut last month, scoring 11 points (3G / 8A) in 15 games, including a two-assist performance in yesterday's 4-1 win over the Florida Panthers.

Askarov will start in Tampa Bay on Tuesday.

The Sharks will turn to Askarov between the pipes for the 31st time this season when they travel to Tampa Bay on Tuesday. Askarov took the loss in his last start, allowing three goals on 24 shots in a 4-2 loss in Detroit on Friday. The 23-year-old carries a 16-12-1 record and an .890 SV% into Tuesday night's matchup, where the Sharks enter action as massive underdogs at +240 on the money line.

Letang is day-to-day with an upper-body injury.

Letang recently saw an uptick in ice-time, including deployment on the top powerplay unit, because of an Erik Karlsson (lower body) injury. That said, the 38-year-old Letang will head to the sidelines himself because of an upper-body issue. The veteran defenseman had been productive lately, tallying nine points (1G / 8A) in his last 14 games.

Soucy (personal) will return to New York's lineup in Los Angeles on Tuesday.

Soucy is averaging 17:18 time-on-ice and has eight points (3G / 5A) in 44 games this season. The 31-year-old defenseman leads the Rangers with a +5 plus/minus. He has missed the past three games, but should return to the lineup on Tuesday against the Los Angeles Kings.

Kiviranta (undisclosed) has a chance to return vs. Anaheim on Wednesday.

Kiviranta has battled several injuries this season, most recently one that has kept him out of the lineup for over three weeks, but he could draw back in on Wednesday against the Anaheim Ducks. The 29-year-old Finnish forward is averaging 9:29 time-on-ice and has four points (1G / 3A) in 21 games this season.

Pittsburgh has acquired Ilya Solovyov from Colorado for Valtteri Puustinen and a 2026 7th round pick.

Solovyov was often the odd-man out of the lineup for the Avalanche this season, mostly drawing in due to injuries, and will hope for a more defined role with the Penguins. The 25-year-old Belarusian defenseman averaged 11:34 time-on-ice and had three points (1G / 2A) in 16 games with Colorado this season.

Kesselring (undisclosed) will be a game-time decision in Nashville on Tuesday.

Kesslering returned from a three-week absence due to an injury on Saturday, but did not play on Monday and could miss a second consecutive game. Jacob Bryson drew into the lineup as Kesselring's replacement on Monday. Lindy Ruff stated after the Saturday's game that Kesselring had tweaked something and is a possibility to play on Tuesday.

Sundqvist (ankle) will be out vs. Winnipeg on Tuesday.

Sundqvist suffered a scary injury on Sunday, a cut that narrowly missed his Achilles, which would have likely ended his season. The 31-year-old Sundqvist will not play on Tuesday, but is not expected to be out long-term. He is averaging 13:20 time-on-ice and has 13 points (3G / 10A) in 39 games this season.
