The 28-year-old left-winger is entering his ninth NHL season and will hope to play in more than 50+ games for the first time since 2019-20. In 21 games with St.Louis in 2023-24, he had two goals, six points and eight PIMs.
Mukhamadullin has not been able to participate in San Jose's training camp due to a lower-body injury and was placed on the Injured Non-Roster list on Monday. The 22-year-old former 1st-round pick made his NHL debut with the Sharks in 2023-24 and had an assist, four PIMs and five SOG in a short three-game showing.

If he is forced to miss significant time it will be a massive loss for the Maple Leafs after he had 10 goals, 21 points, and a +16 plus/minus in 52 games played in 2023-24.

The bruting 6'7 defenseman spent the last three seasons with the Dallas Stars but battled injuries last season, missing the entirety of the playoffs while playing only 64 regular season games.

Cowan was never really expected to make Toronto out of training camp and has been loaned back to the London Knights (OHL) for the upcoming 2024-25 season. The 19-year-old who was Toronto's 2023 1st-round pick (28th overall) will rejoin an already stacked team in London that currently ranks third in the CHL's top ten rankings after week 1.
Minnesota may be riding three netminders this season between Wallstedt, Filip Gustavsson, and Marc-Andre Fleury, but showed their faith in Wallstedt being their goalie of the future with a two-year contract extension. Wallstedt was the 20th overall pick of the Minnesota Wild in the 2021 NHL Entry Draft and spent most of the 2023-24 campaign in Iowa (AHL), posting a solid 2.70 GAA and .910 SV% in 45 games (22-19-4).
Lindgren suffered an upper-body injury early in training camp and is currently two weeks into his initial four-week timeline. The 26-year-old Lindgren will be an important part of the Rangers defensive core when he is healthy. He had 17 points (3G / 14A), 103 blocks, and 114 hits in 76 games last season.

Hellebuyck is away from the team due to a personal family issue but is expected to play in the Jets' season opener on Wednesday against the Edmonton Oilers. The 31-year-old American netminder was tremendous last season, winning his second Vezina trophy with a 2.39 GAA and .921 SV% in 60 games (37-19-4).
Nieto underwent knee surgery in May after the conclusion of the 2023-24 season and is nearly five months into his original six to seven month recovery timeline. The 31-year-old left winger appeared in 22 games with Pittsburgh in 2023-24 and had a goal, four points, 13 SOG and a +5 plus/minus in his first season with the team.
