Nieto (lower-body) returned to practice in a regular contact jersey on Monday.

Nieto underwent knee surgery in May after the conclusion of the 2023-24 season and is nearly six months into his original six to seven month recovery timeline. The 31-year-old left winger appeared in 22 games with Pittsburgh in 2023-24 and had a goal, four points, 13 SOG and a +5 plus/minus in his first season with the team.

Aube-Kubel (lower-body) will return on Monday vs. Florida.

Aube-Kubel has not played since suffering a lower-body injury after only 5:45 time-on-ice in the opening game of the season. The 28-year-old signed a one-year, $1.5 million contract with the Sabres in the offseason after a 2023-24 campaign with the Washington Capitals where he scored 16 points (6G / 10A) in 60 games.

Power (illness) is expected to be available on Monday vs. Florida.

Power exited Saturday's 5-3 victory over the Detroit Red Wings in the third period due to an illness but was back at practice on Sunday and will be in the lineup on Monday against the Florida Panthers. The 22-year-old defenseman is riding a four-game point streak, scoring six points (1G / 5A).

Roy (lower-body) has been placed on IR.

Roy exited Washington's season opener after playing only 8:39 time-on-ice and has not played since. The 29-year-old Roy signed a six-year contract with the Capitals in the offseason after spending the first six seasons of his career with the Los Angeles Kings.

Pinto (undisclosed) will not play Sunday and is out week-to-week.

Pinto didn't show any signs of an ailment in Tuesday's 4-0 win over Utah HC, but did not play on Friday, and will be out of the lineup on a week-to-week basis. The 23-year-old Pinto has three points and -3 plus/minus through six game this season. Cole Reinhardt will draw into the Senators' lineup as Pinto's replacement.

Drouin (upper-body) has been upgraded to day-to-day.

Drouin was with the Avalanche at their morning skate on Sunday and has been upgraded to day-to-day. Drouin has not played since the first game of the season, missing eight consecutive contests. After several forgetful seasons, the 29-year-old Drouin had a career-high 56 points (19G / 37A) in 79 games last season.

Colton (upper-body) will return to the lineup on Sunday against Ottawa.

Colton exited Thursday's 5-1 win over the Utah Hockey Club with an upper-body injury after 11:07 time-on-ice. Colton managed a goal before his exit, his seventh in eight games to start the season. Despite not practicing on Saturday, he will return to the lineup on Sunday against the Ottawa Senators.
