Laughton (personal) missed practice on Monday due to the birth of his child.

It is unclear if Laughton will be in the lineup on Tuesday against the Washington Capitals after being absent from practice on Monday to attend to the birth of his child. Hughes (shoulder) will not play on Tuesday but his return "is imminent".

Pesce (fibula) will not return on Tuesday but is expected back very soon.

With his presence at practice the last several days, Pesce's debut with the Devils seems to be on the immediate horizon. In 70 games in 2023-24, he had three goals, 13 points, 20 PIMs, and a +10 plus/minus while averaging 20:17 TOI/GP.

Woll (lower-body) could be available for Tuesday's game in Columbus.

Woll was projected to be the opening night starter for the Maple Leafs but suffered a last-minute lower-body ailment, resulting in him missing the first six games and pivoting the starting goalie role to Anthony Stolarz. That said, Stolarz has been terrific filling in this season, posting a 1.79 GAA and .937 SV% in three games (2-1-0), which could pose an obstacle for Woll's playing time when he returns to the lineup. In 25 games played in 2023-24, Woll had a 12-11-1 record with a 2.94 GAA and .907 SV%. Maple Leafs head coach Craig Berube indicated the Woll could be an option for Tuesday's contest against the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Only five games into his tenure as a New York Islander, Duclair has suffered an undisclosed injury that will keep him sidelined indefinitely. Logan Stanley (knee) has been activated off IR and will draw into the lineup on Sunday vs. Pittsburgh.

Haydn Fleury will be a healthy scratch on Sunday afternoon, allowing Stanley to make his season debut after undergoing knee surgery in September. The 26-year-old Stanely played 25 games with the Jets last season, tallying two points (1G / 1A), 40 blocks, and 45 hits.

The Avalanche have placed Jonathan Drouin (upper-body) on IR.

Drouin has been placed on Injured Reserve, retroactive to Colorado's 8-4 opening night loss to the Vegas Golden Knights on October 9th when he suffered an upper-body injury. Ross Colton has been the main beneficiary in Drouin's absence, finding himself on a dangerous top powerplay unit.

Jonathan Drouin
Duclair left Saturday's game with a lower-body injury and did not return.

Duclair had to be helped off the ice after suffering an apparent leg injury in Saturday's game. Post-game head coach Patrick Roy did not have an update on Duclair and they don't practice on Sunday, so don't expect an update on the winger until Monday at the earliest.
