Blake was the 109th overall pick of the Hurricanes in the 2021 NHL Entry Draft. The 20-year-old has spent the last two seasons playing collegiate hockey and has scored 60 points (22G / 38A) in 40 games this season with the University of North Dakota.
Ekman-Larsson has been held off the scoresheet in five of his last six games and will be a healthy scratch on Tuesday. Josh Mahura will draw into the lineup as a replacement.

Olofsson has been a healthy scratch for the previous four games but will draw back into the lineup on Monday vs. Tampa Bay as he takes the spot of Lukas Rousek. The 28-year-old has struggled all season, leading to his least productive season since joining the NHL in 2018-19, with seven goals, eight assists, 66 SOG and four PIMs in 50 games played.
Rousek has gone six games without a point and will be the odd-man out of Buffalo's lineup on Monday vs. Tampa Bay as Victor Olofsson takes his spot in the lineup. The 24-year-old has yet to score in 15 games played this year but has two assist, four SOG, and a -1 plus/minus.

Thompson made his NHL debut with the Tampa Bay Lightning earlier this season and will make his Sharks debut on Monday against the Edmonton Oilers. Thompson was the 93rd overall pick of Tampa Bay in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft and has 41 points (6G / 35A) in 62 AHL games this season between the Syracuse Crunch and the San Jose Barracuda.
Beckman will be a healthy scratch on Monday, allowing Frederick Gaudreau to draw back into the lineup. Beckman has failed to record a point in seven straight games.
Gaudreau has not played the last two games but will return to the lineup on Monday against the Los Angeles Kings. The 30-year-old Gaudreau has five goals and 15 points in 65 games this season.
