The DFO Rundown Ep. 248 – McDavid Goes Down & Three Undefeated Teams Remain
The Edmonton Oilers’ miserable start to the season managed to get even worse on Saturday night as Connor McDavid went down during the team’s loss to the Winnipeg Jets. The team announced that he will miss one to two weeks with an upper-body injury, meaning his chances of playing in the Heritage Classic next Sunday.
Jason and Frank started today’s episode of the podcast by breaking down the injury and talking about what’s been going wrong for the Oilers. Frank thinks McDavid will be back sooner than people think.
From there, they stayed in the Pacific Division and talked about the red-hot Vegas Golden Knights. Hangover? What hangover! The Golden Knights are the first defending Stanley Cup Champion to start the next season 6-0. They’re looking like an unstoppable force once again.
They also talked about some other big moments from the weekend, the Rasmus Andersson suspension, and the Detroit Red Wings hot start to the season.
