Smith will head back to the AHL for the first time since 2013 after clearing waivers Monday. He will head to Providence (AHL) after putting up a goal, three assists, 23 SOG and six PIMs while averaging a career-low 9:53 TOI across 18 games.
Smith will return to the Bruins' lineup after having not dressed since Nov. 25th due to being a healthy scratch. The 33-year-old has a goal and two assists with six PIMs through 12 GP this season.
Smith missed Monday's contest due to an upper-body injury but will return Wednesday as the Bruins take on Colorado. The 33-year-old has a goal, two assists and 16 SOG through 12 games in an injury-filled season to date.
Smith draws back into the Bruins lineup having not played since Nov.12th but will hope to improve on his goal and two assists through 10 games that he has picked up so far this year.
Smith has been out since October 28th due to an upper-body injury but will be back in the Bruins' lineup Monday vs St.Louis. In seven games so far this year, the 33-year-old has one goal and three points to go along with 10 shots while averaging a career-low 11:48 ATOI.
Smith missed Thursday's game against the Devils but will play Saturday vs. the Blue Jackets. Smith, who has 15 points (9G / 6A) in his last 16 games, will replace Marc McLaughlin on the third line.
Smith is under the weather and will come out of the lineup on Thursday. Marc McLaughlin will make his NHL debut to replace Smith on the third line with Charlie Coyle and Trent Frederic.
Smith will miss Tuesday's game vs. Vegas after entering the NHL's COVID-19 protocol. Tomas Nosek is expected to return to the Bruins lineup to replace Smith and Jake DeBrusk will move up to the second line.
It looks as if Smith will be a healthy scratch in Saturday afternoon's game in New Jersey. Smith has struggled this season, failing to record a point in eight games. Karson Kuhlman will draw into the lineup to replace Smith.
Smith missed Sunday's game vs. the Sharks with an undisclosed injury that he suffered in Buffalo on Thursday. With Smith out, Oskar Steen is expected to remain in the lineup vs. the Panthers and Hurricanes.
Smith is one of 16 regulars who will not be in the Bruins lineup on Tuesday. The Bruins will need to recall multiple players from their taxi squad/AHL to fill out their lineup. Karson Kuhlman, who was scratched last night, should draw in to replace Smith.
Smith was absent from the Bruins' morning skate and will be a game-time decision on Thursday. If Smith can't play, look for Jake DeBrusk to draw into the lineup and replace him on the second line with David Krejci and Taylor Hall.
