Parenteau has been a healthy scratch for the last five games, but will be back in the lineup tonight vs. the Maple Leafs. The 34-year-old has no points and four shots on goal in four games since being acquired by the Predators.

Parenteau has not recorded point in four games since being acquired by the Predators and played just 9:52 on Saturday. With Craig Smith (undisclosed) ready to play tonight, look for Parenteau to come out of the lineup.
Parenteau missed Monday’s game with a finger injury, but isn’t expected to miss a lot of time. The veteran winger seems to score wherever he goes and adds a little scoring depth to a hot Predators’ offence. Parenteau heads to Nashville with 13 goals and 14 assists (27 points) in 59 games this season.
Parenteau left Saturday’s game after blocking a shot and will not be available for tonight’s game with the Canadiens. Blake Coleman has been called up and will take his spot in the lineup.
Parenteau has on goal and two assists in his last three games, but John Hynes centered out Parenteau’s two-way game as the reason for him being a healthy scratch tonight. Pavel Zacha will be back in the lineup to replace Parenteau and Devante Smith-Pelly is expected to play on the top line.
After signing a one-year deal with the Islanders this summer, a lot of people were expecting Parenteau to be a nice sleeper pick as a potential linemate of John Tavares’. Parenteau has been claimed by the Devils, where he could work his way into a top-6 role and potential play with Adam Henrique and Taylor Hall.
Parenteau being waived was one of the biggest surprises of training camp. The veteran winger signed a one year deal with the Islanders this summer in the hope that he would be able to rekindle his old chemistry with John Tavares. However, it looks as if the Islanders would rather get a little younger and have someone like Mathew Barzal or Josh Ho Sang instead of the 33-year-old Parenteau.
Parenteau had the best year of his NHL career in his final year with the Islanders—18 goals and 49 assists (67 points) in 2011-12—but has played for three teams in four years since. Parenteau is coming off of a 20-goal, 21-assist season with the Maple Leafs and now he returns to the Islanders where he will look to re-kindle the chemistry with his old teammates, particularly John Tavares.
Parenteau has missed the last five games with an upper-body injury, but will be back in the lineup on Wednesday vs. his former team. Parenteau has been one of the lone bright spots for the Maple Leafs this season, picking up 32 points (16G / 16A) in 60 games. He is expected to skate on a line with two rookies, William Nylander and Zach Hyman.
Parenteau missed Thursday’s practice and will be held out of game 2. With Parenteau out, Max Pacioretty could be back in the lineup or the Habs could go with seven defensemen. Parenteau is listed as day-to-day.

Parenteau has missed the last six weeks and a half weeks with a concussion, but will return to the lineup tonight vs.the Sharks. He is expected to start on the Habs fourth line in his first game since mid-January. Parenteau has 15 points (6G / 9A) in 40 games this season.
Despite not skating with the team this morning, Parenteau will travel with the team, which suggests that he is ready to return to practice. He will likely skate with the team during the trip but is not expected to play.
Parenteau has been out since January 15th, but returned to the ice this morning. He did not participate in practice, but he skated on the second rink in the Canadiens facility. There is still no timetable for his return.
Parenteau missed Saturday’s game with what was called an illness, presumably that illness was concussion-like symptoms that will keep him out of practice today as well. He is questionable for Tuesday’s game vs. Nashville.
Parenteau was reportedly not feeling well this morning and missed the morning skate. He will be replaced by Christian Thomas and is considered day-to-day.
