Detroit has signed Shai Buium to a three-year, entry-level contract.
Buium was the 36th overall pick of the Red Wings in the 2021 NHL Entry Draft. The 21-year-old has played collegiate hockey the last three seasons and tallied 36 points (7G / 29A) in 43 games for the University of Denver in an impressive 2023-24 campaign.
