Luukkonen is in the starter's crease at the Sabres morning skate.

Luukkonen allowed four goals on 30 shots (.867 SV%) but still picked up his second win in three games as he beat Washington last start. The 23-year-old has a great record despite mediocre counting stats, as shown by his 15-8-2 record, 3.57 GAA and.893 SV%. He takes on the Goliath that is the Boston Bruins, who are in the midst of a nine-game winning streak and are third in the NHL in goals per game (3.73).

Sam Lafferty will make his Maple Leafs' debut Wednesday.

Lafferty had 10 goals, 11 assists, 83 SOG, 28 PIMs and a -10 plus/minus through 51 games played with the Blackhawks but has been dealt alongside Jake McCabe, a conditional 2024 5th round pick, and a conditional 2025 5th round pick from the Blackhawks for Joey Anderson, Pavel Gogolev, a conditional 2025 1st round pick, and a 2026 2nd round pick. He will make his Toronto debut on Wednesday.

Reimer allowed six goals on 31 shots (.806 SV%) for his fourth loss in five games as he was beat by Nashville in his previous start.
