Martin will start Wednesday in New York.

Martin allowed six goals on 35 shots (.829 SV%) for his eight-straight loss as he was walloped by Seattle in his previous start. The 27-year-old started the year off successfully but has been horrendous as of late, leading to his 11-13-1 record, 3.94 GAA and .875 SV%. He will take on the New York Rangers, who have won three of their last four games after a 5-4 overtime win over Calgary last game.

Slavin missed the Hurricanes' previous game four games due to a lower-body injury and will not return to the lineup Tuesday vs. Los Angeles. The 28-year-old has three goals, 12 assists, 74 SOG, six PIMs and a +10 plus/minus through 45 games prior to the injury.

William Carrier will return to the Vegas lineup Friday vs. the New York Rangers (upper body).

Carrier hasn't played since January 14th due to an upper-body injury but is set to return to the Golden Knights lineup Friday vs. the Rangers. The 28-year-old forward had 11 goals, five assists, 89 SOG, 18 PIMs and a +7 plus/minus through 43 games prior to the injury.

Andersen already missed a lengthy period of time this season, missing most of November and all of December and is dealing with another injury. It's unclear how long he's expected to be sidelined, but expect Pyotr Kochetkov to come up from the AHL to share the crease with Antti Raanta if he misses time.

He takes on the Dallas Stars, who is coming off a 3-2 loss to Buffalo but rank seventh in the NHL in goals per game (3.43).

Ty Smith has been reassigned to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (AHL).

Smith had one goal, three assists, 27 SOG, and a +3 plus/minus through nine games but was reassigned to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (AHL) after being a healthy scratch in each of the last two Penguin games. Smith heads back to the AHL for a second time, where he had four goals and 14 points through 26 games prior to his previous promotion.
