As such, the Hurricanes will quickly revert to the services of Kochetkov between the pipes on Monday in a contest against the Vegas Golden Knights. The 25-year-old Kochetkov has been solid for the Hurricanes this season, especially establishing himself since the injury to Frederik Andersen (lower body), posting a 2.51 GA and .896 SV% in eight games (7-1-0). The Hurricanes enter the action on Monday as -149 road favorites against a Golden Knights club without Mark Stone for a second straight game.

Jankowski will be a healthy scratch on Wednesday in Washington.

Michael McCarron and Philip Tomasino will both draw back into the Predators' lineup on Wednesday against the Washington Capitals, sending Luke Evangelista and Mark Jankowski to the sidelines as healthy scratches. The 30-year-old Jankowski was an offensive standout in the AHL last season, scoring 47 points (15G / 32A) in 40 games with the Milwaukee Admirals (AHL). That success translated during a 32-game NHL stint last season, scoring 15 points (7G / 8A) in 32 games. That said, Jankowski has scored only one point (0G / 1A) through 11 games with the Predators this season.

With Connor McDavid set to make his return from a lower-body injury, Philp has been sent down to the Bakersfield Condors (AHL). Philp made his NHL debut this season and played three games with McDavid was out of the lineup, averaging 10:13 time-on-ice and recording his first career point (0G / 1A).

The 25-year-old Kochetkov has a 2.51 GAA and .893 SV% in six outings this season (5-1-1) and will continue to see most of the action in the crease for the Hurricanes as long as Frederik Andersen (lower-body) is sidelined. The Hurricanes enter Tuesday's contest as sizeable -298 home favorites against the Philadelphia Flyers.
