Teuvo Teravainen (hand) will be a game-time decision ahead of Game 1 vs. Florida.

Teravainen has been out since Game 2 of the Hurricanes' opening series vs. the New York Islanders and has missed the last nine games due to a hand injury and will be game-time decision for Game 1 vs. Florida on Thursday. The 28-year-old failed to pick up a point in his two games played earlier in the playoffs but had two SOG, two PIMs and a +2 plus/minus. He is expected to take a spot on Carolina's third line if he does dress Thursday.

Laurent Brossoit (undisclosed) will be out for Game 4.

Brossoit was removed from Game 3 vs. Edmonton after just 11:44 TOI due to a lower-body injury and is considered out indefinitely for the time being and will miss Game 4 Wednesday. The 30-year-old had been decent for the Golden Knights, leading them to a 5-2-0 record, 3.18 GAA and .894 SV% though eight games. Adin Hill filled in for Brossoit after the injury, leading Vegas to a 5-1 victory.

Arvid Soderblom has signed a two-year contract ($962,500 AAV) through the 2024-25 season.

Soderblom was 2-10-2 with a .894 SV%, and 3.45 GAA across 13 starts and 15 games played in 2022-23 as he struggled through his rookie season on a weak Blackhawks' team but has signed a new two-year contract ($962,500) extension that runs through the 2024-25 season. The 23-year-old is expected to backup in his second season in Chicago in 2023-24.

Brossoit was removed from Game 3 vs. Edmonton after just 11:44 TOI due to a lower-body injury and is considered out indefinitely for the time being until the Golden Knights provide more updates. The 30-year-old had been decent for the Golden Knights, leading them to a 5-2-0 record, 3.18 GAA and .894 SV% though eight games. Brossoit was pulled after allowing five goals on 32 shots (.844 SV%) through 40 minutes in Game 2, snapping a five-game playoff win streak as Edmonton beat the Golden Knights 5-1 last game. The 30-year-old has picked up wins despite his mediocre stat line, with his 5-2-0 record, 3.13 GAA and .896 SV%. He will hope to slow down Edmonton after their big showing Saturday, who finished the regular season with a historic 32.4% powerplay which led the NHL.

Brossoit stopped 29 of 30 shots (.967 SV%) to knock out the Winnipeg Jets in Game 5 in his previous start as Vegas took their opening series easily 4-1. The 30-year-old has been great as a starter for the first time in the playoffs, with his 4-1-0 record, .915 SV% and 2.42 GAA. He will hope to keep Vegas' winning ways going to start the series as they take on Edmonton, who finished the regular season first in the NHL in goals (3.96).

Brossoit allowed four goals on 34 shots (.882 SV%) but still escaped with his second straight win as the Golden Knights downed the Jets in overtime 5-4 in Game 3. The 30-year-old has been so-so starting for the first time in a playoff series, with his 2-1-0 record, 2.97 GAA and .897 SV%. He will hope to keep Vegas' winning ways going as he takes on the Jets, who were 21st in the NHL in both goals per game (3.0) and shots per game (30.3).

Nick Foligno will be a healthy scratch for Game 3 Friday vs. Florida.

Foligno had an assist, one SOG and 12 PIMs through the first two games of the Bruins' opening playoff series but will be a healthy scratch Friday for Game 3 as Jakub Laura takes his place in Boston's lineup. The 35-year-old had nine goals, 25 points, 71 SOG, 45 PIMs and a +18 plus/minus through 60 games during the regular season.

Brossoit allowed four goals on 30 shots (.867 SV%) in an ugly 5-1 opening series loss to Winnipeg Tuesday and will start Game 2 Thursday. The 30-year-old was incredible during his short 11-game showing this season, with his 7-0-3 record, 2.17 GAA and .927 SV%. He will hope for much better results as he takes on the Winnipeg Jets at home Thursday, who was 10th best in the NHL in goals allowed (2.73) this season.

Teravainen will need surgery on his broken hand suffered in Game 2 and is out indefinitely.

Taravainen was a +2 plus/minus with two PIMS in the Game 2 loss vs. the New York Islanders but suffered a broken hand and will now require surgery. The 28-year-old does not have a timetable for his return and will make a huge loss for the already injured Hurricanes, after posting 37 points (12G/27A) in 68 games during the regular season.

Brossoit will start Game 1 vs. The Jets.

Brossoit missed the first few months of the season before going 8-11-3 with a. 2.72 GAA and .909 SV% in 23 AHL games. Following injuries to Logan Thompson and Adin Hill, Brossoit was recalled to the NHL and did not lose in regulation, going 7-0-3 with a 2.17 GAA and .927 SV%. Tuesday will be his first career playoff start.

Foligno (lower-body) is expected to play in Game 1 vs. the Panthers.

Foligno missed the final 22 games of the regular season but appears on-track to play in Game 1 vs. the Panthers. Foligno, who finished 10 goals and 16 assists (26 points) in 60 games this season, skated on the fourth line and second power-play unit in Sunday's practice.

Victor Soderstrom has been reassigned to Tucson (AHL) following the end of the Coyotes' season.

Soderstrom had nine assists, 31 SOG, 24 PIMs and a -3 plus/minus through 30 games with Arizona this season and has been reassigned to Tucson (AHL) following the conclusion of Arizona's season. The 22-year-old returns to the minors, where he concluded his season with two goals, 21 points, 28 PIMs and a -11 plus/minus through 44 games played.

Brossoit will start Thursday in Seattle.

Brossoit stopped 20 of 21 shots (.952 SV%) for his fourth-straight win as he beat the Seattle Kraken in his previous start. The 30-year-old has been a revelation since returning from injury in late March, with his 6-0-3 record, 2.29 GAA and .923 SV%. He takes on the Seattle Kraken, who had a five-game winning streak snapped by a 4-1 loss to Vegas last game.
