Sam Lafferty will draw back into the Maple Leafs' lineup for Game 2.

Lafferty has been a healthy scratch for Toronto's previous two playoff games but will draw back into the lineup Thursday for Game 2 as he replaces Zach Ashton-Reese. The 28-year-old has an assist, five SOG, two PIMs and a -3 plus/minus through fives games so far in the playoffs.

Laurent Brossoit will start Game 1 vs. EDM.

Brossoit stopped 29 of 30 shots (.967 SV%) to knock out the Winnipeg Jets in Game 5 in his previous start as Vegas took their opening series easily 4-1. The 30-year-old has been great as a starter for the first time in the playoffs, with his 4-1-0 record, .915 SV% and 2.42 GAA. He will hope to keep Vegas' winning ways going to start the series as they take on Edmonton, who finished the regular season first in the NHL in goals (3.96).

Lauren Brossoit will start Game 4 Monday vs. Winnipeg.

Brossoit allowed four goals on 34 shots (.882 SV%) but still escaped with his second straight win as the Golden Knights downed the Jets in overtime 5-4 in Game 3. The 30-year-old has been so-so starting for the first time in a playoff series, with his 2-1-0 record, 2.97 GAA and .897 SV%. He will hope to keep Vegas' winning ways going as he takes on the Jets, who were 21st in the NHL in both goals per game (3.0) and shots per game (30.3).

Nick Foligno will be a healthy scratch for Game 3 Friday vs. Florida.

Foligno had an assist, one SOG and 12 PIMs through the first two games of the Bruins' opening playoff series but will be a healthy scratch Friday for Game 3 as Jakub Laura takes his place in Boston's lineup. The 35-year-old had nine goals, 25 points, 71 SOG, 45 PIMs and a +18 plus/minus through 60 games during the regular season.

Laurent Brossoit will start Thursday vs. Winnipeg.

Brossoit allowed four goals on 30 shots (.867 SV%) in an ugly 5-1 opening series loss to Winnipeg Tuesday and will start Game 2 Thursday. The 30-year-old was incredible during his short 11-game showing this season, with his 7-0-3 record, 2.17 GAA and .927 SV%. He will hope for much better results as he takes on the Winnipeg Jets at home Thursday, who was 10th best in the NHL in goals allowed (2.73) this season.

Teravainen will need surgery on his broken hand suffered in Game 2 and is out indefinitely.

Taravainen was a +2 plus/minus with two PIMS in the Game 2 loss vs. the New York Islanders but suffered a broken hand and will now require surgery. The 28-year-old does not have a timetable for his return and will make a huge loss for the already injured Hurricanes, after posting 37 points (12G/27A) in 68 games during the regular season.

Lafferty (personal) is expected to play in Game 1.

Lafferty was back with the Maple Leafs for Sunday's practice after missing the final three games of the regular season due to a personal matter. Lafferty, who will be part of the Maple Leafs fourth line in Game 1, has six points (2G / 4A) in 19 games since being acquired by the Maple Leafs.

Brossoit will start Game 1 vs. The Jets.

Brossoit missed the first few months of the season before going 8-11-3 with a. 2.72 GAA and .909 SV% in 23 AHL games. Following injuries to Logan Thompson and Adin Hill, Brossoit was recalled to the NHL and did not lose in regulation, going 7-0-3 with a 2.17 GAA and .927 SV%. Tuesday will be his first career playoff start.

Foligno (lower-body) is expected to play in Game 1 vs. the Panthers.

Foligno missed the final 22 games of the regular season but appears on-track to play in Game 1 vs. the Panthers. Foligno, who finished 10 goals and 16 assists (26 points) in 60 games this season, skated on the fourth line and second power-play unit in Sunday's practice.

Brossoit stopped 20 of 21 shots (.952 SV%) for his fourth-straight win as he beat the Seattle Kraken in his previous start. The 30-year-old has been a revelation since returning from injury in late March, with his 6-0-3 record, 2.29 GAA and .923 SV%. He takes on the Seattle Kraken, who had a five-game winning streak snapped by a 4-1 loss to Vegas last game.

The 30-year-old has been sensational during his short eight-game showing so far this season, with his 5-0-3 record, 2.44 GAA and .921 SV%. He takes on the Seattle Kraken, who is in the middle of a five-game winning streak and are third in the NHL in goals per game (3.59).
